AMS2 IMSA @ Mosport, Tuesday 10th December

With all the new updates, it would be great to see everyone again at a new venue! Over the next few Tuesdays we plan to run some of the latest IMSA content. Initially the events will be single class, with an aim to rotate around the IMSA classes, but if there is sufficent interest in any event, then we will open it up to multiclass.

This Tuesday we are going to Canada first to take the prototypes for a spin around Mosport.

Ah damn, I'd join but it's another event that's too early for me. Couldn't take part in the ACC series for the same reason.

Just a thought, but why not do what the team did for the ACC league, and open this to non premium if there are free slots?

It's something we are considering for upcoming races, but we didn't plan to do it on this one. I'll chat with the team about it.

you can race without the track, but you need someone to start the session with the DLC. I'm happy to spin up the test server and start a session later today if you want?

No, it's fine - I am not in a position to do some testing today, and looking online there are a few open lobbies running it, so don't worry about taking time to put a server up just for my benefit. I might buy the DLC over the weekend anyway, as I really want the LMP2s and the three IMSA circuits are worth the money.

I'm also curious if the timetable showed up correctly for you? It should automatically adjust based on the location you set in your profile.

Timings are correct for me in GMT.

I ended up buying the DLC, and the Lambo LMDH around here is fantastic. I found testing it in the dark and wet really helped me in the dry. But AMS2 drives really well. I am really at a loss to understand the folk who say the physics are not good.

Some people seem to just like what they like. I kinda get it. You can find yourself devoting a lot of time to this hobby if you want to improve and from personal experience, switching from a well driven sim to another can be a little frustrating. Not found one I cannot pick faults with though, so don't really worry about it too much and I've had good races in all of them. The bit I really don't get is when people decide to burn so much energy arguing about what they don't like in X or Y. The last thing I want to spend time even thinking about is something I don't like.....<shrug>

Hi scott, thanks for organizing. My wife is on Business travel, but 90% Chance I’ll make it. Looking forward to it.

Timezone says European/London 19:00. Looks right to me.

I like it, the new race event setup. Very minimalist and straight to the point. Should be a great template to offer for the other sims too - especially the ones who require you to read a short novel before getting on track.
