Sector3 Studios have confirmed the next patch for the RaceRoom Racing Experience will be available next week, and it looks set to include the new Imola DLC track!

As previewed earlier last week, Sector3 have built what appears to be a highly polished digital version of the legendary Italian track for RaceRoom Racing Experience, adding the circuit to the game store as early as the upcoming patch due for public release late next week.

Famous for both its flowing curves and as the scene of fatal accidents for Roland Ratzenburger and Ayrton Senna in 1994, the RaceRoom edition of Imola will of course be the most recent and up to date layout of a track much changed over the years.

Also known as the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the Imola circuit has played host to numerous Formula One Grand Prix since making its debut on the calendar during the 1963 season. Since that non championship Formula One race won by the great Jim Clark, Imola has held many Formula One and other high level bike and car events, not least of which would be the famous 1980 running of the race under the Italian Grand Prix moniker, seeing Imola host the Italian round of the championship as a temporarily alternative to the usual home in Monza. Such was the success of the 1980 running, Imola would continue to host Formula One races under the San Marino Grand Prix title, giving Italy two Grand Prix per year and becoming the unofficial home of the Ferrari team.

Imola is 4.9km in length and the lap record stands at 1:24.355 by Damon Hill, driving for Williams Renault in the ill fated 1994 running of the Formula One race.

I might just have to buy this and Silverstone to go along the X-17, to create some kind of F1 championship. Still, I prefer lesser-known tracks, which they do provide as well thankfully.

Autopolis, Sepang, VIR, Le Mans, Road Atlanta, Mont-Tremblant, Barber, Lime Rock, Mosport, Hidden Valley, Pau, Londrina, Enna Pergusa?

How many space points would such a pack cost? :roflmao:

That said, Donington please :cool::D

@J-F Chardon looking at you fella. Don't care how much it costs, I'll crowdfund you or anything.

Pleeeeeeeeeease for the sake of my eternal happiness get Donington in game. Please...
^^This. I'll donate my monthly income. Throw Brands GP in too, and you'll get kisses and hugs to go with the cash.

OMG I've just realised I've become "one of those people".
Haha, there's no going back now! :devilish:

Top work from the Sector3 team as usual. The fixes and tracks like this are always welcome.

Take my money! Lol

A few years back I stopped off at Imola and I was so surprised about the layout. There really is a beautiful Park in the centre with the school and the various housing layouts. I so want a house there. Haha.

I love the fact sector3 put the senna dedications on the track. I wonder if you can see the statue through the fencing? It's a lovely sculpture and I'm glad I made the detour to go see it those few years ago :)

Maybe an out of the norm track next? Road Atlanta, how about Mosport. I agree Lime Rock is a fun track too.
