Hello everyone,
I play with Logitech G923 + H-shifter. I've played GTL before, but not much, and to a lesser extent GTR2. But they are captivataing classic titles, particularly GTR2 + PnG3. Now, both in GTL and GTR2, I never managed to make the sim shift to neutral with the H-shifter. I tried all techniques: with the clutch and without the clutch, releasing/blipping the throttle and shifting out of gear (dogbox style), but nothing. It only sees gear changes, e.g. going from 2 to 3. There is a separate button to assign for neutral, which works, but that's beyond the point. Am I missing something? Does the game even support that?
I need neutral, because I skip and float gears (clutchless shifts), which I also do in AC and AMS. So, with no neutral, I can only rev-match on downshifts with the clutch, i.e. by heel-toeing. However, I've read that some people also float in GTR2 + PnG3. And if floating is possible, then is gear grinding implemented in these games - when one does not rev-match within a narrow operating rpm range, as it is with the aforementioned non-SimBin titles?
