Hi all, just getting into the modding scene here. I'm looking at the database.bin file with the Ryder program. I have the "ai_driver" table open, and my first question is: is this the correct table to essentially slow down the AI drivers?
if not, where do I need to go, and do, to slow down the AI drivers?
If so...here's what I've done:
Copied table values from the original database.bin file to an excel sheet, then applied formulas to the drivers specs for mistakes, speed_in, etc to things like 50% reduction, 90% increase, etc etc.
So for instance my driver values are like this:
Name Reaction Speed In Speed Out Variance Virt Perf.
Jenson Button 1 0.49 0.44 1 0.48
Lewis Hamilton 1 0.5 0.48 1 0.5
Michael Schumacher 1 0.5 0.45 1 0.47
Nico Rosberg 1 0.49 0.47 1 0.48
Sebastian Vettel 1 0.5 0.47 1 0.49
Mark Webber 1 0.48 0.42 1 0.47
Felipe Massa 1 0.45 0.32 1 0.35
Fernando Alonso ` 0.5 0.5 1 0.49
Rubens Barichello 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.37
Nico Hulkenberg 1 0.49 0.35 1 0.4
Robert Kubica 1 0.05 0.05 1 0.49
Vitaly Petrov 1 0.48 0.35 1 0.32
Adrian Sutil 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.37
Vitantonio Liuzzi 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.3
Sebastien Buemi 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.36
Jaime Alguersuari 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.39
Jarno Trulli 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.4
Keikki Kovalinen 1 0.5 0.42 1 0.35
Karun Chandhok 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.25
Bruno senna 1 0.47 0.35 1 0.35
Pedro de la Rosa 1 0.5 0.45 1 0.28
Kamui Kobayashi 1 0.5 0.37 1 0.46
Timo Glock 1 0.5 0.42 1 0.44
Lucas di Grassi 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.4
Nick Heidfeld 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.4
Pastor Maldonado 1 0.5 0.44 1 0.46
Paul di Resta 1 0.49 0.37 1 0.42
Sergio Perez 1 0.47 0.4 1 0.46
Narain Karthikeyan 1 0.46 0.37 1 0.05
Jerome d Ambrosio 1 0.5 0.05 1 0.37
Kimi Raikkonen 1 0.5 0.47 1 0.45
Romain Grosjean 1 0.47 0.47 1 0.49
Daniel Ricciardo 1 0.45 0.4 1 0.36
Jean-Eric Vergne 1 0.5 0.35 1 0.35
Charles Pic 1 0.5 0.43 1 0.38
(Sorry the table copied horribly)
So as you can see I was pretty drastic with this, in order to see if my values were, in fact taking effect in the game, to slow the drivers down, and have them more twitchy/mistake-y. I want this because I play the game with an Xbox controller on PC and its a bit difficult to finely control the car with it...so I'm dumbing the field down to my level so to speak.
So my final question is this:
Do I need to make a new profile each time in order for my changes to take effect in game?
If not, what values and/or tables in the database.bin file do require a new profile to be created?
Thank you!
