*IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ*

Historic racing is famous for the gentleman racer era and that is the kind of atmosphere that I'd like to foster in the club. Please take time to read these web pages and try to get an understanding of what racing in this club is/should be all about.

Thanks

The Guide to Road Racing, Part 8: Passing Etiquette - Winding Road

Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
  • Note: Please use your full real name in game and on Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

:confused:The Spark F3 is only 1966, the 1968 car is F1. Which car is correct for this event?
Well spotted Casper.

This is really down to S397 labelling on Steam. I typed '68 in the "Cars" field of the OP because that is the title of the workshop page(s) for these car(s) on Steam. I guess '68 covers everything because the F3s were already out by the time '68 came around. If you called the page '66 it would be even more incorrect because it includes cars which were not available till '68..... I guess.

So anyway, now when you click on the link to the Steam Wokshop page, you are directed to a page where the title matches what I typed in front of the link. Tah dah!

Anyway, if you are ever in any doubt, just hop on the server. I have managed (by jumping through some very special hoops) to load only the Spark F3 and Eve F3, so they are your only options when selecting a car. :D

Hi Manu. Would be great if you could join us, but I'm afraid that first you'd need to be a Premium member at RD. This should have been linked in the OP but somehow my copy/paste skills have failed me. sorry about that, I'll correct the OP straight away. If you decide to go Premium and sign up to race with us, let me know.

Thank you for the info, I was actually looking into buying premium today but before i do, how often does this racing club do races? Obviously i use race department for all my mods and stuff but i the online racing clubs like this one looks very fun and interesting but how often do races like these for rfactor happen?

We race historic cars every Thursday. There is also an event every Friday which often runs more modern cars GT3/GT4/LMP etc. If you click the rF2 Racing Club link above the title of this event you can see all the previous event threads. :)

Welcome to the club. Look forward to seeing you on track and (hopefully) a chat on Discord.

I hate this bit but it's gotta be done. Could you please read the RD Racing Club Rules (linked in the OP of this thread). By signing up you agree to abide by our rules, but don't let that make you nervous - we'll help you through and we're pretty understanding of new club members. Any questions, fire away.

Also, in order to identify everybody on the server, we all use our real names in game and display our real name in the race event thread (here). To do this, click on your profile (top right) and go to account settings and populate the Real Name field. Only other Premium members can see you real name and only in event threads. Your name will not give results in any internet search. That's it - see you on Thursday. :)
