Did you know that by using custom "Power plan" you can trick your machine to run cooler and still give you the smooth sim that you are used to and at approx half the cost?
If you are running some of the older games like PCars2 try using a plan for that which is based on "High Performance" but has minimum and maximum processor state at a value lower than 100. That way the power output and temperatures of both the CPU and GPU get much lower and so does your power bill. It's a win-win-win move.
In comparison the standard "High Performance" plan yields an additional +12 degrees C and twice the CPU consumption without any improvement in the already smooth sim.
For the GPU the setting for power is not changed from the default
