This Tuesday we return to the brute tourers of the GT Open Class, the Ultima GTR and the Ginetta G55 GT3. Something of sledgehammer vs a Scalpel match up, they are both rewarding in their own way. Santa Cruz is a medium speed tack full of sweeping turns and one diabolical hairpin that makes for a challenging lap.

Whether you are a rookie racer or a seasoned veteran our casual club races are for everyone and every skill level. We combine fun events with discord chatter and a warm welcome to all our premium members.

yes please! not tried either the ultima or this track for a while
Hi Scott. Yeah I'd forgotten this track and thought to give it another go.Then I did a practice lap and...well, that hairpin's pretty memorable! The Ultima has zero aids, whereas the Ginetta has TC/ABS.

I am not at home this week and therefore have to sadly pass on Tuesday and Thursday races this week. Wish you guys all lots of fun.

The current Scottish heat wave and VR will add to the challenge, IN. Think it will have to be the Ultima, I've always had a thing for 10lb hammer.
Hey Malcolm, addeed. Yeah, the current heat and humidity here today was almost too much for the 3 - yes 3 - fans I had aimed at me during a club 50 race.

Got the central A/C running over here. Sign me up please Daniel. Thanks
Yep, crank it up to 11. I have a bandana for the sweat that I wear under the oculus, yet still the face mask gets damp. Add in a set of headphones over the top of the headset and summer is a real endurance test in VR.

Use some liquidsoap (to do the dishes) to put on the lenses, this will avoid them to damp.

Really? I've not heard that before. I'd rather not put anything on the lenses - I use a soft glass cleaning coth only on the lenses. Anyway, it not the lenses getting damp, it's the rest of the face mask/head band that gets wet from sweat. I've actually replaced the sponge-default Oculus face mask with a soft leather type one, but still, a bandana is a good idea to protect the headband.

ah, do you mean to stop them fogging up? I used to do this trick on my motorcycle helmet before the pinlock system became almost standard. Personally, I find the fan stops this with my G1, but that might be because it doesn't perfectly fit my face and there are slight gaps

Yes, that's what I mean. Works perfectly for me. Also works on the bathroom mirror. :)
