Brands Hatch is an amazing circuit for high speed, close quarters racing. With plenty of elevation changes, unique features, and flowing corners, this is one of the most unique circuits on the racing calendar. Come join us for 60 minutes of GT3 action!

Please note DST change in the host timezone! Practice starts at 7pm UK time, qualifying at 8:20pm UK time, and the race at 8:40 UK time.

On Wednesdays, there is a great opportunity to prepare yourself for this race by joining a MX5 Cup event on the same track. You can learn the racing lines, overtaking spots, and even the braking points in a car that's less demanding than the GT3s -- and you can still have a lot of fun at the same time! Search for the MX5 event in the Calendar or on the RaceDepartment community on simracing.gp.

A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.

When entering the track from the pits, stay off the racing line until you are up to speed. Do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by. On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Okay thank you very much. This is sad, do you completely stop hosting races?
I still think about buying premium, but do i need SGP then? bc I'm not in the closed beta and entered the queue rn.
If you have premium you just write a mail to the admins and you get access to SGP. It just could take a day or two.

Hey, sorry that I'm not familiar with the procedure of signing up for a race. I'm new to simracing on racedepartement.
I bought premium rn.
Where do I need to sign up for the race, on SGP? If so, where can I write to the admins that i get access to the page?
On which discord and channel do I need to be present during the race?
Thanks for your help :)

hi
look at the top of the page. There are two blue entries (as you see in the picture below). There you have to ask for account and there is the discord Server.
You also have to change to your real name also in Assetto Corsa. If you wish this in german write me a PM (click on the logo start conversation)

In with McLaren 650S GT3.

first race, hope not to cause any kerfuffle.
Welcome! Just make sure you know the RD rules (link in first post), especially what to do with Blue Flags (be predicable: stay on the racing line in the turns and on the straight ease off the throttle (don't brake!). And of course the Golden Rule and you'll be fine.

It's only Wednesday and all 24 spots available have been taken. I believe OSRW version has +8 extra, so maybe consider switching to that version of the track if SGP supports it.

EDIT: Saw in the other thread that SGP doesn't support OSRW for the moment. That's a pity
