We know the release date, we've been told about the cars and different game modes, now it is time to learn about the tracks coming to GT Sport later this month.

Late last week Polyphony Digital confirmed the 163 strong list of cars due to form the basis of Gran Turismo Sport on PlayStation 4, and with release day getting ever closer the legendary Japanese development studio have finally revealed the full track listing from the new game, with the noticeable omission of few real world locations...

GT Sport will be predominantly made up of fantasy circuits on both tarmac and loose surfaces, with a distinct Japanese theme showing off the heritage of this long running franchise. With a focus around online play and lack of any traditional single player experience so often found in the Gran Turismo series of games, one of the most immediately noticeable aspects of the track reveal would be a lack of real life race circuits, with only five locations (Maggiore, Interlagos, Brands Hatch, Suzuka and the Nürburgring) in various configurations making up the real world content.

Will this be a critical stumbling block for a game entering a sim racing marketplace literally packed full of content? Only time will tell...

Love the whole GT Sport concept but this is the part I don't get. Wasn't GT Sport officially sanctioned by the FIA to run esports? Then how come half of the track list are artificial fake tracks?

Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with fantasy tracks in general (I love them!) but when the FIA is involved the game at least should have real circuits.

Not had time to pull the old VR visor out yet but will do tomorow evening..

Poor poor showing for the lack of real world FIA approved tracks but I kinda expected it tbh, no hype means no show unfortunately..

What I don't understand is why they don't just copy famous tracks and make the scenery totally different to where they are copying. Example make Spa in the desert with slightly different named corners like Blamangè and Radical followed by the train stop..

Easy peasy Japanese.....

I think there can be some great competition in fantasy tracks. I really dont understand why they've abandoned the classic tracks though.

Oh well, I at least hope it recreates racing in some sense, but you get cs go as a big "shooter" esports game. So one more evidence esplrts isn't really about simulating real life sports.

Too much fantasy tracks without any of the classics of GT series and not the amazing Sierra from GT6? Bad decision
Not many of the amazing real world tracks like Silverstone, Spa, Imola, Monza, Laguna Seca, Daytona, Indianapolis? Bad decision

This added to too much fantasy Vision GT cars (the only one that feels good with real cars is the Toyota FT-1 GT3) and too much fantasy racing versions of real cars is the nail in the coffin on this game for me...

This could had been the game that made me want to buy a PS4 but this turned to be the game that makes me want to keep playing driving sims on the PC...

Goodbye GT series, i loved you but it's time to let you go...

First experience with this demo? Pressing Start to get to the menu and crashing 3 consecutive times before I gave up. It seriously doesn't get any more pathetic than that. Did SONY not even test the menu screen before they unleashed this hideous beast?

Went into a Rally track online without realizing it was and saw that I couldn't spin my car any more by putting down the gas. What's up with that?

I'm glad I don't have a PS4 compatible wheel so I won't feel like I am missing out on this one. Definite pass.

Dont have a PS4 anymore as sold it to go back to PC last year but keen to keep an eye in this thread.
As per usual, the Replays (from videos seen) look fantastic but I'd like to hear more on how good the cars drive/feel and the AI stack up?

Paint Mode, Photomode, HDR and VR are possibly good things with this title (if limited) but its been a long, long wait for GT to arrive on PS4. Within those 4 years on the X console racing/car fans have had Forza 5,6,7 and Horizon 2,3 (from a content perspective). So lack of tracks and this as a cut down title (in content) really is a bit of a let down.

For me and maybe some others is GT Sport worth going back and getting a PS4/PS4 Pro?

For what I’m reading this game should remember us the good work pCars and pCars2 have made in more or less the same amount of development time.

(I have tried pCars, but not GT, but it doesn’t look like it’s even good enough to be released yet)

I don't like console gaming but I'm pushing my friend into buying a PS4 Pro with this GT Sport... :D

Is it really so badly and poorly developed? How's the handling compared to... PCARS2, for example?

The list of tracks is ugly. Where are the real tracks? I count only 7...
Damn, with all the budget SONY have, they should bring into the game all FIA Series tracks in laserscan.
I'm guessing DLCs will fall like rain later on...so you will pay and pay and pay...
