Born in 1991... I didn't really understand much of anything. I just remember that it was fun, but way too hard for a little kid who at that time didn't speak English

It may have been the first one. I have a memory of racing on it at work with my mate via a null modem setup. We were trying out wheels and pedals we had made in the college workshop and we chose the track because we had been watching Mansell race on it a few days before. Fairly sure 2 was not out until after his stint in the series?

Correct. IndyCar Racing 2 was the 1995 season.

Must be the 4 cylinder version looking at the horsepower .
also in the name ( 904 ) very few 6 cylinder versions where made of the 904 .
