GT Legends
Join us Tuesday for some classic Big Banger action with the early 70s touring car contenders from Chevy and Porsche. The king of the European middleweights taking on the brutal American heavyweight looks, at first, to be a mismatch. But with great power comes not-that-great responsiveness, and the smaller, more nimble Porsche can go toe to toe with the heavy Chevy round after round, lap after lap. Historic Imola favours power, but it also favours the skillful, so keeping these two on the blackstuff is probably more important than outright laptime.

Whether you are a rookie racer or a seasoned veteran our casual club races are for everyone and every skill level. We combine fun events with discord chatter and a warm welcome to all our premium members.

Hi Tim. The Porsche is a beautiful car, about as good as 1974 could provide. It handles well, stops reasonably well with its old tyres and brakes, and is just a joy to hustle.
The Corvette is a psycho. It can't be reasoned with. It just doesn't care about your welfare!

Yes, that was actually Guido, but I agree totally, more early signups attract more people when the field looks like a healthy turnout.

Practice server is up.

After doing about 2 clean laps out of 12 in the Corvette, the Porsche feels like a magic carpet ride....it drives itself it's so good! You really need to unlearn modern racer habits like braking late into a corner or trying to stay flat through fast corners. I swear, there's a rhythm to these cars - even the Corvette - that you only discover after many, many laps and lots of swearing.

I've done both. Swearing and many laps in the neunelfer. :p
