Ancevski wins Monaco GP
Sauber driver Milos Ancevski has taken his second win of the season, just ahead of the Jordan of Jack Hunsley. Kederer completed the podium in third.
At the start there were only two position changes, Brugman got past Graham for 15th, and the Ferraris swapped places at the back end of the field. As expected the race turned out to be a procession, with nothing happening until lap 12 when Ben Utzer had to park his car with a loose wheel. Further down the order Sigoulakis managed to pass Lintner. Graham had to make an unscheduled stop one lap later to repair a damaged front wing and dropped back to last.
The first round of pitstops came, and slightly changed the order at the front. While Engberink kept his lead, Ancevski was now past Kederer in second. Diehl got up to 5th, but retired a few laps after his stop with a gearbox failure. Foro meanwhile had dropped down to 9th. Lintner retired the same lap as Diehl with a blown engine.
The final round of stops saw both Keranen and Kederer lose a position to Hunsley. Engberink got back in the lead after Ancevski's stop, however one lap after that he got some electrical problems, forcing him to retire the car. Ancevski took the lead and kept it until the end, ahead of both Jordans. Keranen finished 4th, Buurlage took his first points finish since the opening round with 5th. Wolf got the last point for 6th place.
