Game won't launch

Barnd new PC, new install of windows 10, install game, click on desktop link, window pops up and dissapears real quick and nothing happens. Try from steam launcher and same result. Also the configure link does the same.

Any ideas?

I changed my d3d9.dll to d3d9d.dll and got the game working.

Same here, not new PC but Windows 10 Pro x64bit, tried with dcollins method but nothing happen.

Have you tried installing DX9 from the support folder?

Was just about to post this - that is what was missing in Windows 10. Especially with a fresh windows which had no other games installed on it so wouldn't have that direct x version installed already

Works fine after installing from the support folder

Ok, just updated the steam config for new installs.

Thank you so much. Registered here just to say thanks this worked for me. I have been trying to fix this for 2 days trying everything. Im so glad google showed me this. I nmever would have though to look in the support folder.

hi all i have just got a new pc with windows 10 pro on i have trided changing the dll thing but not sure where to go to change it also i ahve done the diretx9 thing but its still not working really need help as i run a club through rfactor and ment to have a meeting on sunday thanks

Firstly let's try some basic troubleshooting to solve the issue. a) Run a Steam Integrity Check (right-click AMS in your Steam Library -> Properties...
