FVee Gauges

I still run AMS1 most of the time, despite owning AMS2. I like the physics better.

The visual model of the Formula Vee in AMS1 shows a flat 4. The description says it's 1.6 liters. I'm guessing that it's an air-cooled 1600cc Dual Port. That's sure what it looks like. It's definitely NOT an inline 4 as currently run in Brazilian Formula Vee, a series that was resurrected in 2011.

Why then do I have a water temperature gauge in the cockpit?

We need a gauge mod to change the water temperature gauge in the Formula Vee to an oil temperature gauge or at least something that actually pertains to the car, correctly calibrated to its new role and representation.

I have no need of a water temperature gauge in this car, and neither does anyone else. Reiza worries me.

Ah ha! I stripped out all my Formula Vee mods, and the gauges are fine now. The water temperature gauge came from a Formula Vee mod hosted here on Overtake. The mod tries to fancy up the instrument panel. It's wrong. Now I can add mods back, without that. Reiza is innocent. I feel all better now. :D

Whoops! Hold up. I've just had a look at the original gauge bitmaps in the Formula Vee.

Although it's smaller and less noticeable, Reiza did in fact put a water temperature gauge in a car with an air-cooled engine. I'm worried again.

But, since I have the MAS file open, I guess I'll go ahead and correct it.

My Formula Vee cars now have an oil temperature gauge instead of water temperature. And it's working fine.

I have also sorted out the handling, added a pit speed limiter, a nicer steering wheel, the driver suit, helmet, and gloves that I wanted, revamped the engine textures, and created a South American Formula Vee series featuring all appropriate tracks in Brazil, Argentina, and Ecuador.

My Formula Vee drivers are now real drivers from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, and a couple from Mexico who have come down to compete. And you no longer have to ship your car to Austria for one race. It's a longer championship, set entirely in South America.

My Formula Vee racing in Automobilista is now what it should have been. Time to train the AI. :D
