Forza Motorsport 7 players have a new toy today, with the Xbox One X Edition Ford F-150 deployed as free content to the game to both Xbox consoles and PC.

Joining an already incredibly impressive selection of cars and trucks in Forza Motorsport 7, the new, free F-150 Xbox One X edition should be a welcome edition to the game for those of us looking for something a bit different in our racing experience.

So what's different to the standard F-150 then? Let's hand over to Turn 10 Studios to explain:

While the truck is significantly taller than stock – over 93 inches tall (2.3 meters) on 38 inch BF Goodrich Krawler T/A tires – the team behind the Xbox One X Raptor still wanted it to retain the race truck’s Baja-tested performance characteristics. The Raptor’s livery was designed by illustrator Hydro74 and features a stylized “Project Scorpio” scorpion motif. Look closely and you can see that the scorpion’s body includes many details from Xbox One X, including the thumb sticks, d-pad, and ABXY buttons.

The new car will be available to download from the Forza Motorsport Message Centre right now.

Forza Motorsport 7 is available for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC now.

Why do we even have any SUVs or trucks in Forza Motorsport? Fine for Forza Horizon 3 (which I picked-up in the current Microsoft sale and am quite enjoying it for what it is), but for me FM7 should be about sports/GT cars, muscle cars, race cars and classic cars (which at least the 2CV would count as)
