After two tests , we are trying out the F4 again but this time on the streets of Macau again with an open set up. Due to the nature of this circuit the races will be 2 x 20 minutes with a reverse grid for race two.

With the recent release of another excellent car from the guys at Race Sim Studios, we are trying out the F4 car with a view to running it as a series in the near future and as a replacement for the F3 series used in 2024.

This car is much easier to drive than cars we have raced in recent years and we are also going to try to encourage new drivers to join in the series. For both novice and experienced sim racers, this mod offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience the excitement and challenges of open-wheel racing in a car that is well behaved and fun to race side by side.

The car has to be purchased but for the price of a coffee (or half a litre of fuel) you get a great car to add to your collection.

Practice server 7 is running.

I have left the set up open, the default is great (Laurent proved that at Silverstone) but the option to fine tune might attract others, especially around here.

There is a new skin pack with F1 liveries but lets see if this car gets any interest before we get too excited.

I might sign up for this one if I figure out how to not end up sideways over the weekend. 😆 A challenging track with an unknown car for me, so I'll probably be at the back. But if I won't be a bother I'll give it a try

You are very welcome Ricardo,
This is a really nice car to drive, not too powerful and goes really well in default set up.
The trick with Macau is to not to overdrive, let it flow and get well over to the left for the hairpin.

Just signed up. I don't think I'll be competitive, but that's OK. I'll just hang out in the back, trying to hang on as long as I can

I concur it's a great car. Very predictable. Handles Thomson Road pretty well, haha

Tried my best here on a very difficult track, just do not have the talent. luckily Reik laid down a marker time for me. but it was good to see why i cannot get out of mid field.
i put a lot of effort in by my standards into this circuit, which i really have grown to like with a great car that i have no complaints about.
There is maybe a few tenths left in me, but without a eureka moment on this circuit, that me at my limit.
i just crash into a barrier at least once in a lap, so i don't know how damage effects all my consecutive laps
it was a worth while exercise though, i just have the final disappointment to live with.

I'm very sorry mate. I didn't mean to demotivate anyone. I so much got into a flow when practicing.

We never know, where the real limit is (at least until a real alien like Fulvio has shown up).

I just enjoy the combo...

Thank you:) , I did not mean it sound the way it did, it is just difficult to know your limit. Because of practice time you allotted to a racing combo.
This was a Rare combination of car , track, that I enjoy, but both being difficult, but a real challenge to drive that kept you being addicted to it, plus a top time to compare.
I just could not squeeze any thing more from the two. The rest was a bit of self pity rumbling away in there too.:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::)

I just realized I've been practicing on a different version of this track. 🙈 Don't have any more time to practice so we'll see how quickly I'll adapt to the new version on race day. It looks a lot cleaner and smoother, so who knows!

See you Thursday!

I'm starting to understand why Fulvio likes this track so much. It kinda grows on you and gets more fun the more laps you put in. This was a nice combination too.

Happy with the pace I found today. Less happy about the second race; that was absolutely nerve wrecking! Won't be doing that again anytime soon around a street circuit. Have to get more comfortable in this car first. You guys talked me into it, so if I ruined your race that's all on you :roflmao::roflmao:

Thanks all for racing tonight, shame more don’t try out this car as it is a nice drive (even though I was strangely well off the pace, an investigation will be carried out as to why).
You did well Ricardo but I know what you mean, having Reik and Fulvio all over you in the opening lap is stressful, good experience though for the Wednesday night races.
It will be November before we wheel the F4 out of the garage again, hopefully more will join on a less complex track, although I like it a lot.
