Axel is now my new nemesis, ahead a Mr Mizzi. He's taken my trademark, pole position and no.1 at croft!

Had a terrible qualify, only managed 1 clean lap. Although it did put me in 2nd spot.

Unfortunately I had either a brain glitch or technical error, as my car didn't want to move off the start line. Pressed accelerate and nothing happened. Apologies for the poor driver who was stuck behind me.

By this stage Axel was 8 seconds in front, instead of a long side me going into the first corner. So I had some work to do. Although I guessed I was about half a second quicker than him, judging by the practice times.

Within the first few laps Stefan and Will made mistakes that put me into 2nd place without any effort and I could then concentrate on Axel. My initial guess was correct about the lap times, as I was catching him about 3-5 tenths a lap.

With 5 minutes to go I was right behind him, basking in his slipstream. Although there was yet an opportunity to pass. I was hoping the pressure would lead him into a mistake.

No mistakes by Axel but one by myself, which put me 2.5 seconds behind with about 4 laps to go. Another mistake by myself and it was game over.

Great race by Axel and congrats, I didn't see him make any mistakes in 30 minutes, well done to all who raced!

Well. Glad to be your new nemesis, I guess. And now the rightfull owner of the thumbs up smiley for signing up:)

If you are to admit a brain glitch Craig, then you could risk to be banned for the next race. If you call it a tecnical error, well that would be a gearbox change and you know what that means. 10 spot backwards on the starting grid.

I checked the replay, and this is top secret. No other than Craig may read this.
Normally when I start a race, I apply throttle and when the lights goes out I select first gear and away I go. When I sat in your car Craig, at the start of the Croft Grand Prix, you applied throttle and when the lights went out you floored it in Neutral, he he:)

You were way quicker than me Craig and if your start had been "normal" then I am sure you would have won it.

And yes, thanks to all that did attend this race on a Superb track with a Superb car.
