Force AI setups? More steering lock for AI?

So, I have been having a lot of fun with the F1 1967 mod (converted from rFactor) and Monaco 67 (also converted from rFactor) except for one small issue.

The cars don't seem to have enough steering lock to make it around the Station Hairpin and Gazametre hairpin cleanly, they always seem to hit the outside wall. Other than that the AI are very good and fun to race with. Hopefully with more available steering they can make those corners cleanly.

Is there a way to give them more steering lock, maybe with a upgrade.ini or maybe force a setup I create for my car for them to use? The cars and the track are great fun except for that one small issue.

Thank you very much for your time, and I hope someone knows what to do.

So I found this in the .hdv file of one of the cars:
[CONTROLS]
SteeringFFBMult=2.0
SteerLockRange=( 4 , 1 , 30 )
SteerLockSetting=17
SteerLockUserSetting=17
SteeringRotation=(360, 10.0, 55)
SteeringRotationSetting=18

I will try to edit SteerLockSetting=17
Change it to 22 or something. Will that affect the AI cars?

I will find out tomorrow, getting late here tonight.

Well, I fixed it...kinda. I copied over a AIW file from a different version of the track and now the AI takes those corners fine. But now they are screwed up on different parts of the track...(I kinda figured that would happen, but it was a interesting experiment.):roflmao:
I guess I better figure out how to use that AIW editor.....all part of the fun! :)

Yes, you can force the AI to use a setup, you can still find a couple of methods documented on the net if you search hard.
(I have used it in the past to lengthen gearing or lower downforce so they have similar top speed to me at the old Hockenheim, and it does work). I haven't tried using it for steering lock at that hairpin but it *might* help, though your editing the hdv is doing exactly the same thing).

BUT it is only likely to help if the AIW is actually ok in the first place, because they will only ever try to follow the AIW instructions no matter how good their steering lock is.
