Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

In preparation for the upcoming @Fat-Alfie Championship (to be published this weekend), we will be racing the selected cars at Sebring. While the cars have similar performance, we also want to check that tire wear and fuel economy will be within a reasonable range of each other.
It is of course also an opportunity to develop a setup for your car of choice.

For doubters, it's a chance to try the cars out to see if they want to compete in the championship.

Sign up here: https://beta.simracing.gp/events/x_9IWUaWJn4r40WsmwLBN

Other information:

  • Password for registering will be the same as for the Wednesdays events. If you don't know that, please post in this thread and I will send a PM with it.
  • The normal rules apply for this event.
  • This event will be ranked.
IF THE KNOWN S.GP BUG APPEARS (all cars disappear when the lights go out), please don't do anything. The host will restart the session in a few minutes. DO NOT LEAVE THE GAME.

It's important that you also join us during the event on Discord for additional information and instructions. Link is below.

You all expressed your interest in a championship with classic cars on all Fat-Alfies tracks. Well it's about to start in two weeks.

As a warm up we're doing a race on Sebring with the chosen cars, so if you're still interested: https://www.racedepartment.com/thre...h-200-sebring-tue-27th-september-2022.249464/

There's also another championship on the same tracks with modern low powered cars of which the races are held the week before the classic car events. It's a nice opportunity to learn the tracks. https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/fat-alfie-championship-2022-multiclass.249497/

I've committed to the Wednesday championship and can't do both, unfortunately.

Hi Han,

I've entered all three, looking forward to the two championships, although I can't make the first race next week, have to ride my bike up a few mountains

But the Sebring track is a blurry and shiny mess, giving me headaches so I'm not sure I will be taking part. Pity because I do like Sebring :(

Hi Taj,

Are you using VR?
Anyway, maybe @RasmusP can help you. He's a GPU/CPU wizard!

Can you post a screenshot of that? Blurry can happen due to TAA from csp with some versions and some track configs.
But shiny sounds weird.. Might be coming from csp reflections?
Or from a broken track config in csp...

But I'd need a screenshot to see what's wrong and your csp settings to spot issues.

Hey am I still in time to register for this? Can I get the registration password PM pls? Thank you
Hi Virgilio,

You're very welcome. Please make sure you have read everything in the first post very carefully, especially our rules in the link.

See you on track!

First, many thanks to Paul for straightening the TVR out for me.:roflmao::roflmao:

Was not looking forward to this race, so it came as a complete surprise after a few laps following Paul, I quite warmed to the old girl.:O_o: ( TVR )
I think it was as much Sebring suiting this car that helped too.
And to the GTO driver Matija who was a gentleman.:)
Well done podiums and all I came across, a special thanks to Denis, as he did not have to allow me past, so again thank you.

Sorry Richard for lap 1 bump, it was my incompetence driving and braking this car, locked up front tires.
Did only have half an hour practice and was struggling with this car. Could do a 2.31 after a while but it was more of a fight driving this car. Of course it needs a lot of practice.
