Fast times with safe setups

Forgot about setups and stuck with the default safe one this weekend.

Managed to shave off 1 second of my best time around Silverstone. Essentially, steering a lot less and braking a bit sooner rather than later to ensure my corner entry is more stable.

2:02.5 is still a couple of seconds off where I'd like to be, but still.

Its still not a 'bad' time. If you can stick to that consistently at race pace I think you may be quite surprised if you joined a club race at RD.
As I say to a lot of people who are trying to improve, ultimate pace doesn't win a race. Consistancy does, no point doing a lap 2 seconds faster, but making 1 seconds worth of mistakes trying to push the next 10 laps.

Great discussion. Thanks !

Trying to be as quick as alien brings only frustration.
We need to practise more , and more.

Events and leadearboards are well made to monitor progress.
I personally use the agressive setup . I just change at first the tyre pressures to 28 psi hot and concentrate to be as consistent as possible lap after lap. THEN and only then i try to modify my setup for my own driving style. But just simple things like antiroll bars, wings, ...

I practise by trying to optimize my slowest event ranking. It makes me learn variius tracks, card, evrnt typed, various weather....
