Carnage-R-Us here we come :)

No knowledge of this circuit in rFactor, but the GP4 version is hell on steroids!

Can we request circuits for future races? Coz I have a fun one in mind :sneaky:

The Rattlesnake Point thats on the link is a conversion, but im looking around to see if there are any other versions out there, because as Dewald said, its a fun track.
If i cant find another version, ill have to talk to James or someone to see what the score is with using it.

Watch this space...

Conversion of what? Score? Sorry I don't speak Greek :geek:

Theres a Read Me file in the track folder, and it states:
Thanks to the following people for allowing this conversion to take place.
-Smokey0023 the original creator for N2K3.
-DEHawk for GTR2 conversion
-Neel Jani fixes and improvements
-DerDumeklemmer for GTL Conversion

When i took over the organisating of races in this little little part of RD, i was told in no uncertain terms not to use illegal files.
After finding out exactly what was meant by illegal, i was told that they are ones taken from other games, converted, and used in rFactor mods.

Thats why its so important for me to get a YEAY or NIEGH from James or whoever else,
(it can lead to all kinds of suing and stern looks from Bram and stuff that i dont want to get involved with);)

That's informative ;) Keep up the good work! I really hope there is a version that we can use out there...

Sorry guys, i have to cancel this event.
I've just found out it is a converted file from another game, (one of the toca games), and seeing as there are no permissions given by the rights holder, it will be a serious no no to go ahead with it.

Please forgive me for this complete balls up, this is my error and i hope you dont hold Race Department in any less regard than what you did before this post.

Once again, i am sorry, i am sorting out a replacement track to be posted asap!

Shame man, it's not your fault, with all these rules, you can't have it right most of the time. Really, what is the fuss about converted tracks?

Its all about permissions and legal stuff that can be thrown about, i think anyways.
But, i think ive sorted a canny trak to replace it!

How do the legal the stuff work for Rattlesnake Point then? Can we use it in future?

Just for reference: Smokey0023 created the original for Nascar 2003, it was not an original game file. Then DEHawk converted it for GTR2. Then slider916 converted it for rFactor.

Hope that helps :)
