I have not had much time lately and have only just seen this.
Yes I am in on the race.
One question I do have (without having been on the track and parking it on the grid) is hos difficult is it to see the box itself?
Ok well here is a 2nd one! How will the start work now that we have done one formation lap?

Hi Edwin, what you mean by 'hos'?

The start procedure is explained in the Notes:

we have a standing start after drivers have taken the proper grid positions.
  • Standing race start.
Starting grid spacing
  • 1 formation lap.
  • Drivers take their grid positions themselves.
  • Even numbered grid positions are situated on the left side and uneven ones on the right side of the grid.
  • Cars have to sit two grid spaces behind the car in front (excluding 1st & 2nd position) (see illustration below).
  • 1st & 2nd position are situated on the normal pole & 2nd place grid slot respectively.
  • The front left tyre of the car must line up with the perpendicular yellow line crossing the white one of the grid slot.
  • Grid positions of the cars must be accurate within 1m.
  • The Race Director will monitor formation lap & grid positions.
  • The race won't start until all grid positions are taken correctly.
  • The race won't be restarted under normal circumstances.

:laugh: "is hos difficult is it to see the box itself?" = "how difficult is it to see the box itself?" got distracted while typing and then had to get back to work!
what I mean was "how difficult is it to see the start box from the car itself"
the Second question still stands! What will the procedure be once we have made the formation lap and in position on the grid as you show? Do you or someone on TS do a count down or is this done via the server and is a normal "lights" start?

Yes, the rectangular outlines of the pitbox are visible form the cockpit view of the car. If you are unsure about your ability to hit the box, go to external view while cruising down the pits for a better look.

I'll check the grid positions and do a 5s countdown over TS when ready.

However, the event won't be held with four or less people, ofc.
