Cars DRM Revival [Deleted]

Well, to be completely fair, you're using the likeness of a manufacturer's cars to generate income. Not sure what you expect in terms of legal support.
You didn't even ask yourself or them if the DRM Modding Team has purchased rights to reproduce those cars (which weren't road legal anyway) ? IF there's some grey area, back in the 80's and early 90's, a lot of racing games included real cars without asking manufacturers permission and never heard any of them been taken down.
Present released games bring official licenses to attract buyers and sadly, this is not a guarantee of quality; I'm looking at you , EA.
Btw it's the same company that secured an exclusive long time deal with Porsche years ago, selling low quality products compared to others (but still making a lot of $ because of the Porsche's aura) and took that brand away for years from simracers before we could finally enjoy some cars that made history in our favourite sim. There's a lot more to say about their sport games.

Anyway, the DRM team has put a certain amount of time and efforts to bring you quality mods and all work merits salary. If you take that work and claim it's yours, that's stealing. Same if you make money on their back.

I will just go ahead and steal your homemade Shelby Cobra replica, that is registered with a fictional name in the documents, from your garage. You spent well over a year on it, and probably a significant amount of money, but It's no big deal because it's not your car, right? A lot of these old racing cars have next to nothing to do with the original manufacturer. There are plenty of them that have been completely built by a third party. Who owns a car that has a chassis built by March with an engine from BMW? What happens if you add a third party that put the whole thing together? Does Porsche own the rights to the Dauer 962 car? How about the Kremer Spyder cars?

Getting CM/AC crashes lately while loading the session. Happens not every single time, sometimes the session loads fine, but most of the times it crashes.

Updated to buggy CSP?

Hello guys,

some of you know the background of why we stopped bringing the DRM REVIVAL 3.0 for rF1 and generally turned away from rFactor and switch to Assetto Corsa.

This was all a long time ago and in the past 3 years we have search some rf2 modding teams to convert the mod from AC to rf2, yes we want to see the DRM REVIVAL MOD for rF2.

Now a little story, it is not a Assetto Corsa story, but please read it.

xxx and administrator of the community xxx asked many months ago if he could have the unreleased version of DRM REVIVAL 3.0 from us to bring a new version with additional cars for rf1. Ok, we sent him this never released version and allowed to use the models.

Yesterday we found out that he not only used and published the cars from the old rf1 version, no, he also used the new models from the current DRM REVIVAL Assetto Corsa version( Puriano K3 and Marod Scream ). He believes that because of the purchase of the MOD he has acquired these rights.
From some of the other cars of the DRM REVIVAL MOD, like the Lardo Monastir and the RTM 121 "Flachbau" you can find pictures at facebook and in my opinion they are ready for release.
Ok, it is only rf1, but it makes not better.

I would like to ask you, if you find a link to this unauthorized conversion, please report it to me: drm_modding_team@freenet.de.

The following address is known so far:

- xxx
- xxx

Thanks and happy SimRacing
please hurry up with the RF2 version , is way better with FFB also , never unerstood why you picked AC over RF2 /

Perhaps because its easier to mod for Assetto corsa as the physics and pipeline are more simple and on any average day AC has 10x the player count of RF2 meaning way more purchases.
perhaps FR2 players are more into sim and into good cars as DRM and probably the 10x mor in AC are more in into the GT3 roadcars so this isnt a sure thing that the AC gamers buy more DRM

Every single major modding team has sold more on AC compared to RF2. That is a fact, AC has the the largest probably ever modding scene for sim racing, theres over a dozen teams on patreon getting hundreds per month for this game and you think people wont spend money, 397 likely makes less than some of those patreons. Sorry man but your statement is just wrong completely.

Is there anyone I can talk to about getting the DRM mod on Automobilista 1 reinstated to the website. It is a great creation and really representive of the era like it is on AC, and a great shame if it were not to be.

I am somewhat aware of the arguments between the copyright of the models, but I was told that the people working with DRM Modding (Classic Motorsport Hub) had come to some agreement to release this mod publically. I tried to reupload the mod later today and it got taken down. What is going on???

My guess its because its a paid mod and you are trying to re-upload it for free?

No, this mod is completely separate to DRM Revival and is in collaboration with several other modding teams. Something went sour during the process of it being created, but the team still managed to release DRM 1977 and 1978 on their website

I'm wondering why this masterpiece isn't more widely known.

Well, the reason it's not being re-uploaded anywhere is because it's available at the address you linked. And we'd like for it to stay that way.
