Drifting with a CSL DD [8Nm]

Hi guys,

I've recently got a Fanatec CSL DD [8Nm] and struggling a bit with Drifting in AC; I would like to ask for some advice to make sure that the cause are my drifting skills and not my wheel settings.

### FanaLab:
Wheel is in PC Mode (red LED)
[SEN] - 900
[FFB] - 78%
[FFS] - Peak
[NDP] - 15%
[NFR] - 15%
[NIN] - 5%
[INT] - 1
[FEI] - 100
[FOR] - 100%
[SPR] - 100%
[DPR] - 50%
[SHO] - 40%

### In-Game:
Steering: 900
Gain - 55%
Everything else - 0

ENABLE_GYRO=1 in assetto_corsa.ini

I'm mostly using WDT and WDTS cars; not sure if that's relevant.

Practice practice practice! Maybe turn off damper and FEI to 50ish. Thatll help you feel more connected to the car. Not sure what INT is, I assume its the same as DRIFT mode on the CSW? I keep that at 0 for consistency or 3 if I really want to throw the car around.

It took me about a year to just not suck, then about another year to learn "strategies". Im at a point now where I would call myself pretty good.

Couple tips:
  1. Clutch in to stop oversteer.
  2. Use the handbrake as little as possible and before you begin turning the wheels, more for hard initiations or to keep stable if following and coming in too hot.
  3. Brake bais as much to the front as allowed.
  4. Dont make this corner perfect, use this corner to setup the next corner perfect- if that makes sense. Youll see what I mean when you try it.
