Just in case, I can't promise any updates.
It was my intention to learn something and enjoy the additional gameplay element on a favorite track.
If no RainFX config is eventually posted to CSP, this can be a fallback.

...afaik there aren't any "official" config files, all tjose CM loads automatically where created by users and added to the github.

By "official" I mean from original sources.
lija (aka x4fab) said he/she has been working on rainFX track configs and a non-rainFX config already exists for sx_lemans, so I consider the devs behind the original content (track, config, rainFX, etc.) to be official sources.

jsnfarrell updated sx_lemans RainFX track config with a new update entry:

Complete RainFX environment

Decided to invest a decent amount of time into completing a RainFX config for sx_lemans v1.6, and possibly sx_lemans v1.7 (untested).

• Few adjustments to wet surface materials (type, effect, etc.)
• Added 'stream' effect to visible track objects (slow areas, near track)
• Stacked edge streams in high flow areas for a realistic effect

The community behind CSP requested the resource be removed due to possible changes in upcoming previews/versions causing issues with compatibility.

Those whom did not get a chance to try my final version of sx_lemans rainFX until then - apologies.

The resource has been removed by request due to this method not being supported soon and therefore possible issues being avoided.
