Curbs height and native hud

Hi All ! I need a couple of tips concerning these 2 topics :
1 - I'd like to lower the curbs height of a specific track. What I have to edit and where ?
2 - I'd like to expand the width of the drivers name in the HUD. I use the native HUD, which file I have to edit and what lines of text to modify ?

Thanks in advance.

If it is a simple text edit I am curious myself, but I don't think it is. It has to do with the track "mesh".

link is to a rF2 discussion, but still applies as far as I know. If I am wrong, then hopefully someone will clarify.

In your link I can't find a spec value to modify, but I'm sure some years ago someone in who knows which forum gave a line to edit to lower the kerbs so the wheels stay grounded instead of bouncing. I will make some search on web. Anyway if someone has the tip for me is welcome.

For the point 2 instead, if you or someone else is interested I've found the solution.
You have to copy the "customingamelayout.ini" file from Automobilista/support folder to Automobilista/uidata folder and edit the following line :

TV_STANDINGS_NAMEWIDTH = 0.045

0.045 is the default number, but I think 0.080 is a better one. Anyway modify at your pleasure.

@morsify @Simon Aguirre , do you know the answer to this? You guys are pretty knowledgeable about this game.
It is definitely possible to lower the amount of bump you feel on the curbs, by editing the TDF file.
eg
RoadBumpAmp=0.010
RoadBumpLen=13.0
RumbleBumpAmp=0.015
RumbleBumpLen=8.0
MiscBumpAmp=0.08
MiscBumpLen=4.0

It's trial and error, but you can definitely feel a difference, for example in the above lines if you reduce the RumbleBumpAmp=0.015 to 0.007 you should feel less of a bump in the curbs.

BUT on some tracks, the bumps might be in the track mesh, which as you said, can only be edited with the right editing software. (Phoenix 91 is an example - there are some pretty rough manhole covers in the road, which I reduced by lowering numbers in the TDF, but one or two are still rough as they are part of the mesh - it's a street circuit though so it's pretty realistic to have the bumps on that track).

But for the majority, I found the TDF usually helps enough.
