Crytek goes from the jungle to the streets of New York in these first images of Crysis 2.

There aren't a whole lot of games out there that will generate much excitement over a pair of screenshots, but Crysis 2 is certainly one of the select few. The original Crysis (released in 2007) earned a reputation for stellar visuals that very few PCs could actually run at the highest settings, and it still seems like you need to time travel into the future to obtain a machine capable of running it at its prettiest. The sequel moves the action from the jungle to the streets of New York City, and to showcase the new urban setting, EA recently sent over the first pair of screens from the game.
It's looking pretty good....
