Content Manager (Questions & Answers)

Hello! I cant run the game on 64bit. Its python33.dll error. I tried everything and googled everything but only works on 32bit, so I cant play LFM or WSS. Any ideas? I dont know why, but my assetto documents folder is in OneDrive. Thank you.
Do a file check via steam, should download any missing files, right click AC, properties...

I don't know why you replaced the folders in AC. You should have simply copied Sol into Assetto Corsa and left the base game alone. The message is because you removed a required file for the game to launch. Here is the default.ini file. Place it in the assettocorsa\system\cfg\ppfilters folder and that should solve your problem. There are a few more stock ppfilters that came with the game originally so you may get errors about those even when you replace the current missing one. I tried to zip all of them up for you, but RD doesn't allow you to attach .zip files to a message.
Hello, I am having the same problem as this guy and I have uninstalled the game several times to see if the ppfilters folder appeared and it is not there. A friend who just installed the game today asked him if he could look at the same path that indicates the error and he doesn't get it either (the game does work for him). I also tried putting the file you purchased in several folders and it didn't work either.
That I have to do?

Hello, I don't seem to be able update content manager.

I keep getting this message.

"Access is denied.

Can’t update app due to lack of permissions. Please, update it manually."

I'm pretty sure I've had this problem before and I think it was an easy fix but I can't remember what it was.

Many thanks.
did you get the fix? i still have this problem

Are there any surveys on how many Assetto Corsa / Content Manager users operate with VR? There must be a lot! Then, why does CM still have not support for VR? Is it so hard to make the menus work in VR? People are being forced to remove their headsets from their heads after leaving Assetto Corsa just to be able to see the menus. Consider that a mess that is, specially when you are sitting on your cockpit and you may not a have a place to leave your headset or you don't have a monitor in front of you. You can use Virtual Desktop, but you have to load it every time you leave the game and, moreover, who wants to have a third party app and SteamVR loaded wasting resources? And what happens with most users switching to OpenXR and having to load Virtual Desktop and SteamVR everytime they leave Assetto Corsa? It makes no sense.
I use a Vive pro so I have to disagree regarding having to remove your HMD between races as I personally use the Vive pro that has a system button on the side of the HMD. When pressed, you get options to change Audio, recenter etc plus view your desktop within the HMD plus, it is s resizable window from A4 to bus size. This way, I can view and start races or interact with my PC within my HMD the same as viewing the monitor. I can view the game loading until done then I press the menu button on the side if the vive, click on the game Icon and I am in back the game and in VR. The only time I take my Vive HMD off is to pee or i'm done racing for the day.

I did have the same problem using SteamVR, always that steam library or how they are calling this unnecessary piece of :poop:, that blocks your VR view?. While for doing every adjustment's in CM I had to remove the HS from my face and all ways that virtual keyboard.
Went to OpenXR toolkit, out of the box, no blocking screens and I always can keep my HS on.

You can simply select the desktop view using the dashboard. My rig has no monitor and I use SteamVR just fine without needing to take off the headset. It would be nice if there were an option to return to the desktop view automatically but its a two second point and click with the controller as it stands now.

If you use virtual desktop for wireless an even better option is to press the button that gets the VD menu up and use their superior desktop.

Damn. For 5yrs now I have not been aware of that button lmao. Game changer (not that it bothered me taking the HMD off) that makes quick changes so much easier now! Thank you.

I know this method but In my case it’s something completely different. OpenXR toolkit is more working out of the box. While in SteamVR there is always adjustments troubles like the whole Steam library, theater or whatever it’s calling this crap, is blocking my AC view, with or without using the desktop button from your VR controller doesn’t matter, AC is been blocked. Yep there should be a hidden solution, but why not directly on that blocking “thing” I do not know.
Luckily there is a choice and my preference is that “direct working, out of the box” OpenXR toolkit, it’s even hide a virtual keyboard that always shows up when pressing on a CM function. Sorry but since I did try OpenXR toolkit, the whole SteamVR is not my prefered VR software . Was forced to useSteamVR a week ago and man I was so glad I did get my PC right and could be back to my beloved OpenXR toolkit.

Virtual desktop is btw payware and not needed when using OpenXR toolkit.
@onearmedbandit46 it is old maybe not actual, but worth to watch:

How do i reset the cache for where CM last left off? CM is crashing on a specific selected server in the Online tab (Linux, proton install, crashing happens, but that's not important right here right now). When CM loads up, and the server listing loads and selects the previously selected server, it then crashes.

I tried removing the files Cache.data and Values.data in AppData/Local/AcTools Content Manager but that didn't work.

Edit: maybe it does work? confused. i actually had renamed the files instead of deleting them. but i don't wanna delete them so this time i moved them out. that server selection which i had a problem with probably went offline or something so the Online tab is not crashing anymore. though now Online tab is sorting by Name instead of Drivers as i had set it. in Drive tab, i click car, it's grouping by countries instead of showing all. But car and track selected were same as before. The last-left-off cache must be saved somewhere else.

BTW, did you fix this extra screen blocking your vr view? I think your problem is Crewchief! If you start it up and click on the button on the far right "SteamVR overlay settings" and switch it off, that double window blocking your steamvr window will disappear. It's nothing to do with steam and took me a long time to find the solution as everything was pointing to my Vive not being in "Direct" mode however, you can always check about this by starting steamvr, then right click on the steamvr icon in your windows tray along side your task bar in the ^, then from the menu select developer / developer settings - Here you will have the chance to fix direct mode.

Also open Nvidia control panel / change resolution: If you see your vive and monitor in here, that means you have changes the native resolution of your vive somehow and now it is connected with your desktop. fix this by placing both monitor and vive back to their native resolution should fix this issue. You can always press shift/control/windows key and B to reset your GPU on the fly or restart your computer.

If any of this works. let us know
