This isn't the slam-dunk you'd think. The Longtail is much, much faster (like 10-sec./lap faster at a medium-length track) but it's much, much trickier to drive than the Kunos car. The in-game specs say they should perform about the same. The Legion car has slightly less horsepower (562 to the Kunos' 595) and its weight is slightly more (1024 kg to 1010 kg), but on-track it leaves the Kunos car in the dust. Head-to-head, you'd be crazy to pick the Kunos, but in a class where it can hold it's own (that is, in a field of un-souped-up GT3s from the same era), the Kunos car is more likely to be around at the finish (that is, less likely to be backwards in the sand trap). Oh, and on-track, the Kunos car gets almost twice the gas mileage. Thirty-liter generic setup.
