Commenting on news articles

tried to comment on the GSC news article today to find i had to register with another site?
is this the best solution? in an era where "secure" user information seems to be easily stolen from even the most secure sites i try to keep my registrations at a minimum.

Hi, you are signing up to Disqus which is the most used comment system for wordpress sites.

Although the forum and website do look the same in terms of styling they are actually two separate pieces of software with both their own user database.

In the past we had a bridge software in place that allowed you to comment on the site news articles with your forum account but unfortunately that software is not longer supported by the developer and has a potential risk of being outdated.

Until a better solution is available we stick to Disqus which indeed requires a registration.
