CM/Custom Shader Patch giving better frame rates with CPU/GPU optimising

I'm not sure this is common knowledge and thought it deserved its own thread.
With a recent CM/Custom Shader Patch update we were given some experimental CPU and GPU optimising options.
They can be found in Content Manager's Settings > Custom Shader Patch > General Patch Settings

...and these are the options you need to tick.

Brief descriptions from the coder are (remember - these are still in development):

CPU options:

Merge meshes and Flatten nodes:
should give improvement on a few unoptimized tracks, might screw up lighting configs

GPU options:
Optimize draw order:
screws up online (will be fixed in next release), currently doesn't do anything when motion blur is enabled, should be safe to use and boost fps with AI and in cockpit view.
Optimize meshes: safe to have enabled, should give some improvement generally.

I've been doing some testing and just got a whopping 20fps increase in frame rate with all four of these options activated, hot-lapping at Zandvoort in the Lotus Evora GTC '14 (Kunos track, Kunos car for best benching). That basically means the difference between ASW and native 90fps in VR for me at high settings, which is pretty bloody impressive (980Ti/6600k). YMMV of course but there are definite gains to be had.

What means "keep AI race open" in shaders settings now?
ignore "keep AI race open", it shouldn't be there and does nothing. that option is now under New AI behaviour -> AI race cooldown lap. allows you to drive manually to pits after AI race
multithreaded loading unfortunately crashes with NVidia cards. could only test on AMD but will be fixed with next update

Is there anywhere with more information on what exactly this feature is?

Didn't try multithreaded loading but multithreaded culling created some ugly objects popping in VR, like super bad LOD implementation.

can't seem to find app to adjust smart mirrors. got installed lights patch 0.125 preview49 and there is no way i can find the app to adjust them. in a previous build i tried (0.125 preview44 there was the app available when playing to adjust them).
i tried downlading the accextmirrors app as a standalone but it makes nothing, no app appears when racing to adjust them

It's all a matter of ticking boxes, ticked a few more in CPU and GPU and I think some in Graphic Adjustments and got this:

65.1 in the results. I'll take that. Certainly better than I ever thought I'd get. I was silly enough to turn motion blur all the way up, don't, it's a real FPS killer!
