I don't want to spook anybody but please take extra care with the Modsfire track download. My anti virus software (Avast) flashed up 'URL:Scam' on the first two download links that were generated by Modsfire. Only because I trust Han I tried a third time and got a legit download link that successfully downloaded the track.

Han is this the only way to share the track as it seems a bit high risk to me?

Hi Richard,

I uploaded many tracks (>50) from modsfire and I didn't get any virus. But you have to look very carefully at which download button you have to click. First you have to generate the link and then you will get a button "Download link". That is the correct button. And you have to click it twice before the download starts.
If you click on a commercial popup window in the center of the screen, you will get a cookie that causes to pop-up a message at the bottom right every now and then. You can delete these in the privacy settings of your browser by deleting the cookies.

I did click on the correct 'Download link' button and as I said it worked the third time. Maybe I was unlucky, maybe Avast was being overly cautious but just be careful everyone.

Wow, be really careful when downloading from this link... I had to click three different times before I got the correct download file. The first time I really didn't pay attention and a file called "Your_File.exe" was downloaded and I accidentally clicked on it (I'm stupid, I know...). A dos prompt appeared and I couldn't stop it. Windows Defender immediately appeared and the threat was eliminated, but what do I know.... Hopefully my computer will still work :(

The link is working fine Han. Just downloaded with no issues. If you press the correct button it is safe. Plus, i have downloaded stuff from this modder lots of times with no issue. Good Combo by the way

It will, but if you get unwanted popups, go to the privacy settings of your browser and delete cookies.
I have used modfire a lot of times and I never got a virus, only annoying cookies when I didn't click the download button (2 or 3 times) correctly.

Ublock Origin extension for chrome or firefox should hide any "false" download links on download sites (along with popups from sites like these). Aside from blocking ads, adblock will keep you from ever seeing those "your computer is infected!!" popups)

Still a chance you get a .exe file instead of the .rar or .7zip file i guess but as Han has said, modsfire isn't a site I usually find those fake downloads. May just be my browser settings though. Probably also helps I was a teenager on the internet during the days of limewire so I know a fake file when I see one :geek::roflmao:

Also windows security (built in anti-virus) should be all you need to stay safe. Maybe the free version of Malewarebytes if you want to double check things. Otherwise most modern OS and browsers (with adblock) should stop any threats. If they don't, 9.5 times out of 10, it'll be an obvious .exe file you just throw in the trash (or windows will auto flag and quarantine it with a popup).

Below is with adblock on

There are a few issues with the car Han. There are no LODs and the drivers seat is on the wrong side of the car. The one you used before has had an update i think with a race version added

Well, for a mayority of drivers the right side of the car is the wrong side of the car as they drive on the right side of the road.:p

Any news about downloads for the "risk averse" :O_o:

I like it! But I doubt that it will pass the egg challenge with the setup shown in the screenshot.

3 downloads later and i am getting 1.1 when it should be 1.3. Modder even says the update moves the driver to the right. Yet you are driving on the left with dashboard on your side?

1.1 shown for the downloaded car is right, even when the title on RD says 1.3. The version stored in the ui_car.json is 1.1. Maybe the author forgot to update the ui_car.json.
Attached screenshot shows the car ("UK Club") from inside on the practice server.

Interesting. This is !exactly! also my strategy. Only uBlock origin, Windows Defender and the free Malewarebytes standalone scanner (the latter not really needed, paranoia).

Yes, the car is right hand drive but i am sitting on the left. How is it just me?
