Changes to engine.ini are not saved.

I try to edit the engine.ini with PhysicsEditor , I save it, but it doesn't make any changes. What can I do?

Are manual edits saved? Are the files write-protected?

I tried to edit the engine from another mod , and with the other mod it saved , but the one I try (F1 2014) , it won't .-.

I would suspect the files in the F1 2014 mod are write protected or there are permission issues with that mod's folder.
