I have heard about this track ALOT of times when I watch British Formula 3 so I realy want to see how the track looks. SIGN ME UP, plz :D

Just to be clear, this is a different and older layout to the current one used by the F3's. It's longer than the current one, picked so we can get some of the classic Caterham slipstream action. We turn a little later, and then away from the current circuit and off down the Norwich straight and up to a very tight hairpin. There's about 60% of the current track in this older layout. We've had some classic races round here in GTL, it suits a club race format, so the Academys will fit it perfectly.

Sounds great, I cant wait for some classic battles.

Maybe I should try my first rFactor online step here, on this track which doesn't look too difficult? OK add me there please, I currently have no plans for this Friday :) Thank you

One thing to be aware of - this track doesn't have starting lights.

It's very old school, using a man with a green flag to start off.

You could also get used to using your timing display as a race beginning. At the drop of the flag / green light / lights out or however the track decides to indicate that the race is starting, the timer changes from a static "--:--.---" to a moving counter "00:01.523" etc. That is as good an indicator as flag man, lights or whatever.

I'll post some pics up tonight so it's all clear, but honestly, there should be no real challenge for us using any method.

Have somebody done some practice lap already? :) I just jumped into there and those caterhams are awesome, not so fast and I like it :) I also did time around 1:51.. I cant wait for this event more

As promised here are some shots of old flaggy man, along with how the timer screen(s) change as the race starts - the one that shows your laptime, gap in front, gap behind and best laps also works the same way.

Thanks to Nige - powered by Marmite since 1943 - for supplying the shots - I didn't get to the pc last night.

Firstly here's what he looks like before the race starts:
