Can the tracks be imported into 3DS Max or Blender?

I saw that the gMotor tracks can be edited and even created from the scratch in basic 3D software with some plugins, however I've never seen anyone explaining how this works. I've asked similar questions in GTR 2 forums but didn't get many answers. Since rFactor has bigger modding community I figured that it's better to be asked here. gMotor games are sadly too old for any tutorials being easy to find.

Import to 3DSimEd (http://sim-garage.co.uk/) and export as FBX to edit with Blender. Without using Blender, it's possible to move objects from one track to another in 3DSimEd, but creating/editing meshes is best done in Blender (or similar).

Do you prefer licensed hardware?

  • Yes for me it is vital

  • Yes, but only if it's a manufacturer I like

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
