Jenson Button confirms Team Kunimitsu Super GT and Le Mans Jaguar XJR-9 Le Mans debuts for 2018.

Former McLaren Honda driver and 2009 Formula One World Champion Jenson Button has been busy wheeling and dealing in the off season, with the Frome Flyer having just announced his Le Mans debut for 2018, although the British 15 time Grand Prix winner will be taking to the wheel of the outstanding Group C Jaguar XJR-9 prototype from the 1988 running of the classic, rather than one of the raft of recently announced contemporary LMP1 machines contesting the main event.

A first time competing at the legendary French circuit, 37-year-old Button will be sampling the wonderful Group C Sportscar in the Historic Le Mans, an event set to run over the weekend of July 7th - 8th, where Le Mans organisers the ACO put on a series of high quality historic endurance racing events celebrating the history of both the category and the most famous endurance race in the world.

Not content with securing his guest slot at Le Mans, Button has also recently confirmed the team for which he will drive during his full time racing comeback at the highly competitive Japanese Super GT series. Partnering up with Japanese 2013 Super Formula Champion Naoki Yamamoto, Button will take part in the full 2018 Super GT season at the wheel of the Honda NSX-GT for Team Kunimitsu, a squad run by former bike racer and one time Grand Prix driver Kunimitsu Takahashi.

Button will make his Super GT series debut at the season opening Okayama 300km on the weekend of April 7th - 8th.

Would love to see a Toyota and Nissan there too.

Tell the guy to send a PM we might be able to help :)
He's a portfolio manager and not into simracing.
He does love that car though.
He actually received a die-cast scale replica..(down to the paint job) of his car when he took delivery.
I guess it helped that he also took delivery of his airplane from the sister company around the same time.
