A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line. Stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. You will get 2 warnings before a 10 second penalty for exceeding track limits to your advantage. Any warnings/penalties are displayed in the chat window at the end of each lap.

Note: Please use your full real name in Discord and in game. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify who you are.

Info on scoring/penalties here

I don't think I hit anyone, someone or me had a massive ping. so sorry if it was me.
A nightmare of a race or should I say two races:confused::confused:
The only high light was my race with Robert and Steve , ( my mistake , it was Richard, I was most impressed with your defending ) it ended with a spin from me, but I was going to come into the pits so it meant now't anyway.
a race I hope to forget as soon as possible.

I rarely get so involved, my external sound was louder than my engine sound, never noticed it before, wondered why Robert was over taking me, stuck on the limiter in second.
The more i think about this race the worse it gets.

" what race"

Shame Ernie, would have liked to capitalize on your experience when you pulled in for a potty break.

For me the races felt like a bar brawl, was ready to give the gentleman a night off and start throwing bar stools myself.

After checking the replay I just found myself outpaced and plowed under by aggressive ( and fast ) drivers. I don´t think real live Stewarts would have handed out more than a slap on the wrist so there will be no reports. For next time I know to drive way more agressively and the paint job be dammned.

Remains the problem with Discord, from the 19 starters there were 15 on coms.
Not all of them with real names ( which is minor) but the most agressive drivers tonight don´t follow the Discord rule.

Thanks Brian for all your organizing work and most of you for a nice, fair race.

Thanks for organising tonight @Interslice Brian:thumbsup:

Would've been happy with first 3 rows start, no idea where pole came from, I'd practiced with meds and race fuel, so, happy with that.

Race 1 just tried to get away clean - worst trait of the Volvo is bogging down on the line - then tried to build an early gap, was fortunate that others were in close racing behind and prob slowing them down, last 5/6 laps was saving tyres, mediums totally wrecked by lap 14.

Race 2, Hank got the drop into Paddock though luckily got the undercut up the hill to Druids, then tried to build a gap again.

Tbh, count myself very lucky tonight, such a tight field, congrats to the podium guys!

That was a fun race. Great to watch the fast guys at the front battle it out. I could hold on for a few laps to watch the action :ninja:

I should have finished P8, where I qualified with a PB. But, spins, Thomas' wheel dying and a few collisions meant luck was on my side.
Not one of my better tracks, aiming just to not waste my 'ignore worst event' in round 1. Happy to do better than the somewhere in the middle I hoped for here!

Thanks to all who took part tonight and congrats to John and the podium. It was an experience!

Great racing yesterday. Congrats John on the runaway wins  I had some really good clean fights with Richard, Pat, Ernie, and Hank. Need to get more comfortable with the FWD following close and braking early. I moved the brake bias up to 79% which seemed to make the car slightly less tail happy.

For Audio Brian, I moved down "opponents audio" a point of 2. That should quiet down the BMW. You can also raise your engine volume. All in the audio settings.

the 2 25min race was perfect for this combo I thought. Looking forward to the next one in the series, see you all then

My view from the back,
I had a long battle with Colin and then side by side with Kimi but just could not find my way past, well done Kimi on some great defending and I had a great view of some outrageous sideways action with you and Jari in race 2.
Both races gave full on frantic racing as Carsten said above, not our usual experience but these cars seem to promote plenty of door rubbing and from my point of view, it was great fun. The 2 x 25 minute format worked well and it felt like the real BTCC with plenty of on and off track action.
Well done podiums and thanks Brian for organizing, maybe in future series we could consider the VRC touring car pack as well to add even more variety.
