BTCC cars bop?

Has anyone adjusted the bop for the btcc cars at all? The BMWs are way OP. Every qualifying session without fail with the 2024 car pack they're always 1,2,3,4 and then the same in the races.

The RWD cars are faster than the FWD - the entire pack.
I know these guys did some BOP internally. Perhaps you can ask them?

They tried a couple of times to close up the gap between FWD and RWD cars but never succeeded. If you look at their online BTCC races in the Race Control, they ONLY use FWD.

I thought that was the case maybe it's just an AI issue. They are beatable but they aren't like that in real life. Most of the time the fwd stuff is equal with them. Nevermind.

Yeah, it probably would require completely separate tire files and more, which I don't think the DEVS really wanted to explore. And now with all staff focused on LMU, there is literally no one available to try and balance them out more.

Nope, it requires time and effort to do BOP. They do not have to redo tire files - of course they could. However BOP´ing just requires time, which obviously they dont want to give (which is fair). I was about 25% done, back when i was there with the BOP - but never "got around to finish it" :D

From the BTCC regulations, the RWD cars should be 30kg heavier than the FWD cars. Perhaps this hasn't been included but I doubt it. If anyone is able to check in the files to see if that's the difference?

With respect to the AI, the crappy BOP can be mitigated somewhat by using talent files. The RWD still seem to be more competitive around a track like Donnington Nat, and less so around Brands, with Thruxton somewhere in between.

Talent files can mitigate some of the disparity offline, but the rwd/fwd issue is also prevalent ONLINE and talent files cannot help there.

Yep.

Well, it's abandoned now. Huge shame too, because I consider the BTCC stuff one of the very best things to ever come out of rF2 - apart from this obviously. Would have been a nice rF2 swansong (or would that be the 992, I forget which came out last ... penultimate swansong?).

I talking offline here..

In dry conditions you mean to say ;)
If you don't want BMW to win just have a wet race ?

I don't understand people 12 years later " fighting the engine"
You just work combos best as you can.
Run a offline server so you can set grid how you want.
Tyre increased wear and fuel use
Introduce pitstops.
What about edits to unrestricted compounds or use non DLC tracks
IT'S DYNAMIC ! but not if you don't explore it.

Like 12 years and somehow the oldest engine has to do everything precise and correct lol ?

Where all other engines that are also all over the shop in these regards ( because they have ROBOT AI ) and they never get mentioned at all ? lol

AMS2 IndyCar qual laps are too wide a gap ... I made that up but you get my point.
No one worries about that in other sims because there is sweet f all you can do about it
other then make them faster or slower.

ISIMotor gave you more options to affect things dynamically.

If all else fails then go out in qualifying and nerf every Beemer off the track when they try to pass you :p ....but like I said offline server you can put grid how you want assuming it still works.

In servers can't you give any car a weight penalty ?
