Boring loading

is there anyway to change it when loading a race where you get that boring grey screen with tiny AC logo in the middle, a picture of some cars racing would look much nicer!!!

Don't you have a big poster of some nice cars racing on your wall? Just turn your head there, wait for the sound to kick in and then turn your head back to your screen (or are you stuck with VR? )

They both have the boring black screen when loading a track.

It's a screenshot from a Youtube video as can be seen from the filename...

I don't think it's possible to change it.

I imagine when on the grid waiting for the race to start, F1 drivers long for option of having cool pictures of cars flash on the inside of their visor until the race starts.

OP asks a genuine question. AC defence force implies he is a pirate. Great job! That really helps making people feel welcome here.

Maxresdefault jpg images are used on YT and most likely return first on Google image searches.

If you have any factual evidence we are dealing with a pirate here you can report the post andif not a small public apology would be in place here.

An answer to the actual question would be nice as well

It's not his screen. It's a blurry image with the filename "maxresdefault.jpg", which is from YouTube. It's evidence to the contrary if anything. Easily seen if you look up anything on google, look through the image results and check out any result from YouTube - they all have that name. Hell, if you just look up "youtube thumbnail", you'll see that it has lots of results from there, all of which are called maxresdefault.jpg.

To return to OP's totally legit question: Sadly I don't know of a way to add a background pic to the loading screen.

And this is the video. Admittedly when reverse image searching I had to specifically tell Google it was from AC at Trento Bondone to find the image, but after doing that it was the very first result.

Get a SSD and you won't have to look at it for long? There's really no point investing time in the loading screens IMHO. The interesting stuff should be in the menu and in-game.

I think this was meant to be a suggestion for a possible next step in order to get noticed by Kunos' staff.

It still takes a while in online servers with enough cars, and it's a very minor investment for Kunos to make. I see no reason for it not to be an option since this can be coded in 5 minutes tops.
