Sector3 Studios have made another big announcement regarding new content secured for their current motorsport simulator, RaceRoom Racing Experience, in the form of the new 2016 BMW M6 GT3.

With another "new style" GT3 car confirmed to be joining the sim alongside the already announced McLaren 650S RaceRoom aim to bring more 2016 flavour to the racing sim.

Fast becoming the closed top GT title of choice for fans of GT3 style competition, RaceRoom Racing Experience brings another new car to the sizable roster as the new M6 takes over as successor to the very popular BMW Z4 campaigned by works teams in a variety of GT racing series since 2010.

Although the announcement is new news to many in the sim racing community judging by the screenshots found in this article it looks like the team over in Sweden have already begun work on the car and are at a reasonably advanced stage of development already.

With the recent Nordschleife update keeping fans of new content entertained and the previously announced Audi TT VLN, Bentley GT3, Tatuus F4, Formula RR Junior, ADAC GT Masters 2015 and updates to the GTO Class in game amongst others 2016 looks like its still got plenty in store for RaceRoom Racing Experience!

RaceDepartment holds regular informal club racing events across a variety of content found within the sim. For a friendly racing experience with fellow drivers of all different skills and experiences head over to the RaceRoom Racing Experience Club Racing forum here on RaceDepartment.

Regarding ai.... So I just tried sonoma with the wtcc15 cars as debating whether to race tomorrow with Rd and first lap massive traffic jam behind a chevvy that hit the tyres at the hairpin...
Have you got them to run a 20min practice and at least 15-20mins qually should help put them in the right order fastest at the front or your other option is to join us on Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday and you don't need the AI:whistling::D:thumbsup:

Seeing as they have the Audis, I really wish Sector 3 would convince them to let them have a go at the Lambos aswell. Pretty silly to call it GT masters without.

I think it is a matter of price, Ferrari and Lamborghini are the most expensive licenses to acquire. Kunos has good relations with Ferrari so perhaps they got a discount, yet still there aren't that many cars available, and by the time they got Lamborghini they have been working a while, so possibly saved up enough to get them.

If any of you had played TDU2, you probably remember that Atari had to make a choice Ferrari or Lamborghini, due to costs as well. This is why you do not see those two manufacturers together or at all very often. Look at RRE, iRacing, pCars (which is a strange example because SMS worked with EA and later very closely with Ferrari to make Ferrari Racing Legends title).

So AC is probably paying the most of all... they got Ferrari, Lambo, Ruf, Audi, Merc, McLaren, BMW, Nissan, Chevy, Lotus.... too much money for a little group :) but i guess Sector 3 is smaller.
Too bad for us, but who knows....

They are Italian, and have huge potential, so these two things might make their life easier here; plus they are missing Porsche, hopefully not for long.
Porsche by the way is top 3 most expensive as well as difficult for very stupid and very well known reasons.

It's a matter of priorities no doubt and AC proves it's possible and shames just about every other studio out there. If Kunos can negotiate licenses such as Lamborghini there's no reason Sector 3 with it's connections via KW can't do the same.

They help in so far as they own Sector 3 and probably have quite some pull ( or all of it I would imagine) when it comes to what Sector 3 can try to get licensed.

Edit: And I can't imagine there wouldn't be someone working at KW/Raceroom Group that had some connection with someone in the Volkswagen Group seeing as how they have both Audis and Bentley coming soon.

Raceroom has the RUF RT12R ,which is basically a Porsche:

So does every other game I mentioned, except for all these race cars are fictional. Only a couple are real in pCars and both are real in AC. That's not the point. RUF license are not nearly as expensive, plus they are very easy to access. The problem is we never get actual Porsche cars as they come from the factory, no proper race cars and definitely non of the high end cars like Carrera GT and 918.
