best f1 retro mods for any game? (90's to mid 00's)

I haven't played in a long time and I would like to test some mods hoping there's new stuff released. I like f1 from 90's to early to mid 00's. Basically anyone with sequential paddle gears.

I think rFactor 2 has the best physics, but I've heard AMS2 is decent nowadays.

Which stuff is worth installing?

I just don't want to download a bunch of stuff at random, only to find out it's some wacky reskinned model with odd physics and whatnot.
