AC Berta Tornado SP @ Road America, Tue 16th July 2024

Welcome to the OT Racing Club.

No race next week but I'm setting up the server for the week after so you can get more practice in

After the success of last week's race we'll try a Tornado exclusive grid on the fabulous LilSki version of Road America.

We'll use the uprated version of the Tornado so you must install the performance data pack in order to get on the server - otherwise you'll get a checksum error. Just copy the files into your content/cars/dj_berta_tornado_sp directory.

It's worth getting on the server at least once before the race so you know you have the correct files installed.

There are also two excellent skin packs.

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS is essential for clean and respectful driving in our community. You should therefore use tools like Helicorsa or CarRadar and CrewChief. The links for these apps are on the bottom of this post.

Am away but keeping up to speed using my phone. Will do my best to get back for this one. Will be great fun i am sure. My trip is open ended and I must keep her indoors happy but I am sure I can think of a reason to get back home in time "damn, did i leave a window open"

One of my favourite tracks, will try and join if back in time.

Now what to do with the constant understeer...

(Edit: To clarify; I wouldn't ask for a setup, just advice for this car to improve mid corner grip)

I just cannot drive this thing here, but what I can do is provide info
I will post my setup when I get home, but you will want to make changes to the front setup. But at least it will give you a starting point. ( Stiff front soft rear.)
I don’t know if this version is that much different from Silverstone 67, but for me seems totally different car, maybe it is the circuit, who knows.
If anyone posts a setup in the mean time , go for it, I don’t think mine is anything to write home about as I lost the will to live after 10 laps.

Sorry for the tap on the straight Colin, as i pulled out you seem to slow down/warp maybe a gear change or something. only a little but enough for contact unfortunate.

Thanks for that Ernie - for Croft, raised fr spring rate, dropped fr ARB and really helps turn-in and mid corner grip. ...actually enjoy driving it now Hope it's not too track dependent
