Reiza Studios have deployed a new update to Automobilista, bringing the title to build 1.1.5 and adding a number of enhancements and fixes to the sim. Alongside the new build, Reiza have also released their second DLC for the game, bringing the legendary Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit in four historic configurations.

Highlights from the new build include further tweaks to the game AI, allegedly improving behaviour during close proximity to other cars on track. A terrain fix for Cadwell Park has been included that removes an issue with players falling through terrain on right hand side just before the mountain section and physics adjustments to the F-Trainer and MRC2000 vehicles.

As well as the new build release, Reiza have also made available the second DLC instalment for the game in the form of the Imola DLC. With variations of the famous circuit from 1972, 1988, 2001 and 2016 included, the new DLC is a tour de force replicating this legendary venue in many of its unique and challenging layouts from four decades of history.

Automobilista - Imola Release Trailer

"Host of the San Marino GP for 26 years, Imola is a venue full of history where racing gods have risen and fallen. This pack features 4 distinct versions of this legendary track from 4 different decades - 1972, 1988, 2001 and 2016.

In the raw, classic, and dangerously fast original layout last used in 1972 your nerves will be tested as you blast through the picturesque roads, with no chicanes and no run-off areas - an old style, high speed blast surrounded by trees and armco.

The 1988 version featured the chicanes at Acque Mineralli, the top of the hill (Variante Alta) and at the end of the lap (Variante Basa). This is the layout that hosted many classic races in the late 80s and early 90s, until Ayrton Senna´s tragic accident at the then high speed Tamburello corner.

The 2001 version saw reforms to improve safety after the accidents of 1994, with chicanes added to the Tamburello and Villeneuve sweepers. The track remained an unique challenge, in which drivers had to balance cars around the high curbs in order to be fast. Michael Schumacher mastered this layout winning there 6 times.

Finally the modern 2016 version, which has brought back the high speed nature of the track by creating a flat-out section from the exit of Rivazza all the way to the Tamburello chicane".

Art work was brilliant. Although the latest Imola version feels slightly off compared to AC, track seems to be narrower, it is still impressive for a non laser scanned track.

I'd be surprised if width was wrong. The track is licensed and licensed tracks usually come with detailed track maps/plans/CAD data. You could even get the width from Google Earth. Laser scanning is mainly better for bumps and camber.

If the fov is wider then it will give the appearance of the track being narrower.
I'm quite sure it isn't. I've set it up equal across all of my sims. I have to take different lines for it as well.

Anyway, I can't blame them, they've an awesome work with the environment and I'm happy with it, wouldn't ask for precision knowing it didn't have a laser scan into it.

For some reason having the same values, AC's FOV feels narrower to me than RF/RF2/AMS FOV.

Hello,

Since I did the update to version 1.1.5. The feeling of my ffb seems to be changed. It was fantastic in version 1.1 and now it feels more weak and less detailed.

Is there somebody who has the same expeience?

Maybe I have to start from scrtach again and make a new player profile...

Reiza does tend to reset some things with major patches. I have lost customized Realfeel.ini settings multiple times, which is very annoying. So annoying, I now backup that file in a separate spot in case they decide to reset it.

I have not noticed any changes with 1.1.5, and I did check to confirm my old Realfeel was still there (but doesn't mean yours would be). Depending on your wheel, perhaps some overall setting change to the strength of the FFB will be required? There is no official change to FFB, though.

Safest option is always to move your .PLR file elsewhere and try letting the game create a new one. After reconfiguring, if the problem isn't solved, just put your old one back and move on to the next possible solution.
