"Auto Shifting" Won't Dis-Engage!

Getting back into AMS after awhile. I have "Difficulty" set to "Hard Core" and "Auto Shifting" indicates that it is off. However, when I jump into the car, it continues to auto-shift.

Can anyone help me out to get everything set to manual shifting only?

Is this happening in all cars you drive? There's a couple of cars that have auto-shift in real life and thats simulated in the game as the default. You can disengage it in the garage menu, though.

It's with the Camaro SS which, I just noticed, has auto-shifting as default. DOH!
