A: Yes, and any screen resolution recognized by your OS can be set in game.

Q: Will there ever be a physical edition of Assetto Corsa Competizione available on PC?
A: We have put our full effort towards the digital version of Assetto Corsa Competizione; we may consider a retail version in the future, but it’s not planned yet.

Q: Will Assetto Corsa Competizione ever come to console?
A: We are putting all our efforts into the PC Steam version; a console version is surely under evaluation, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

Q: When can players expect the free 2019 update?
A: Our production team is already working on it and the release has been scheduled after Summer 2019.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione offer triple monitor support?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione runs on triple screen setups as a single render scene, that is split over three displays. The game features a special projection correction that reduces the lateral distortion that might affect ultrawide screens and triple monitor setups. (It's called Pannini Projection in honor of the ITALIAN painter who invented it in the 18th century - because Italians do it better). This feature can be set in-game in the "view settings" option. We appreciate that some users are requesting three separate renderings in order to tune bezel values and screen angles. Currently, Unreal Engine 4 doesn't support this feature. We'll continue to investigate to see if in future the triple-separate rendering will be supported in a feasible way.

Q: Will I ever be able to mod Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: Being developed with UE4, Assetto Corsa Competizione processes data and assets through a completely different structure and file format than the previous Assetto Corsa. Therefore, the game will not be compatible with mod contents created for Assetto Corsa.

Q: Which tracks are available in Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: A list of all the official circuits included in the Blancpain GT Series calendar are available at this URL: https://www.blancpain-gt-series.com/calendar. This also includes also Zolder as part of the 2018 Season.

Q: How does multiplayer work in Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione offers three types of Multiplayer action:
In the Public Multiplayer, you can join servers run by the community or official Kunos servers. They offer a vast amount of combinations regarding tracks, conditions and race events similar to the Assetto Corsa 1 universe.

To quickly find servers that suit your preferences and skills, you can either use the Quick Join functionality, or select one of the best matches in the highly personalized server list. To improve your experience, you can edit your preferences, so the suggestions may offer you more night or rain races; or add weight to latency or specific tracks.

While the Public Multiplayer will run casual and quick paced races, advanced users may want to use the Competition Servers. They are offer a competitive experience with very serious settings and hour-long races. The corresponding Competition Rating will track your progress and define the Splits in which you can compete on those servers. The requirements are high, so make sure you get an overview about the Ratings in the Main Menu/Driver/Ratings page.

The third section is the support of private leagues. They run their own race organization and series, which for example allows the use of Driver Swaps and adjusted rules. Additionally, we are looking into possibilities to allow leagues to run more than the 30 cars, and offer them the data output and Race Direction tools they need.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione have anything in place to ensure clean racing online?
A: The most important part in the comprehensive Rating system is the "Safety Rating (SA)" component. Once unlocked, it will track the virtual Trust and Incidents both in Multiplayer and AI races. Public Servers are set up with different SA requirements, offering different levels of protected racing. Additionally, the Competition Servers run very high SA requirements. To enjoy clean racing in Multiplayer, make sure to keep an eye on your Ratings in the Main Menu/Driver/Ratings page and maximize your Safety Rating.

Q: How many players does Assetto Corsa Competizione support?
A: Players can compete against other 30 opponents in single and multiplayer.

Q: What are the minimum system requirements in order to run Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: The most updated version of minimum and recommended hardware requirements is available at the URL https://store.steampowered.com/app/805550/Assetto_Corsa_Competizione/ in the system requirements section.

Q: What are the recommended system requirements in order to run Assetto Corsa Competizione?

A: The most updated version of minimum and recommended hardware requirements is available at the URL https://store.steampowered.com/app/805550/Assetto_Corsa_Competizione/ in the system requirements section.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione take advantage of NVIDIA RTX?
A: Currently, Assetto Corsa Competizione does not support ray tracing yet. We continue to work closely with Epic Games and NVIDIA on integration of new technologies to Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Q: What resolutions and FPS will Assetto Corsa Competizione run at?
A: Resolution and number of frames depend by your hardware requirements. Assetto Corsa Competizione can match the same resolution recognized by your Operative system, and you can decide to cap the number of visible frames per second. We haven't set any limit on this.

Q: Where can I find support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Where can I submit bugs?
A: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum
Please use the proper forum sections and in case of bug submission, zip and attach the whole "Logs" folder located in your "C:\users*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved" folder (the "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties). In case of crash report, please always zip and attach the whole "Crashes" folder located in the same directory.

Q: What rating has Assetto Corsa Competizione been given?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione content is expected to be Assetto Corsa Competizione is accessible to all ages; for instance, the North American ESRB rating is “E” (standing for “Everyone”).

....funny game ... really funny.... I mean, it's funny to see people's reactions... for some, it's the best thing on earth (let me laugh), for others, it's the worst launch (cause bugs and visually far from nice) ...and it's funny to see people fighting (vitually off course) about it ...
For me this game is a real deception, when I first heard about a future ACC i said "oh no ! they won't have me !, AC is not really good, and this one won't be better" ....and then, people talks so much about it, one moment, I believed it could be better than expected, so i take the EA1 ....it was a shame, graphics, IA, and physics, nothing was good, now, it's better, but damn ! physics !!! how ridiculous they are !!!! you can hit the brakes as hard as you want, you won't have problem (try this in a real car, ahah, you could be surprised), same for gaz...I can play with inertia ans shake the car as I want, nothing's happening...what a joke ! even AC1 was more "realistic" ... I see some progress on tyre model, but damn ! it's so far from something "real"...
So ok, I take it as it is : a funny game, just to have fun with, but not more...and I'm literrally rolling on the floor when I read some guys saying it's the best and the more realistic thing on earth, ahah, take a brake guys, go on a real car, and we'll talk after^^
@++
The cars have ABS and TC in real life. So yeah, you would be able to stamp on the brakes and throttle...

This highlights something that seams to have escaped sim racers over the years. We all got into this as kids, and racing/car fans ( I presume ), playing arcade racers and eventually wanting something more in depth than just pressing accelerate and brake so we can immerse ourselves in the experience of make believe racing driver. Yet today sims are more realistic, more immersive than ever. But people always want it more realistic , 1/1 realism. It's never gonna happen. Driving a Abarth 500, MX5 around British country roads at 70Mph is never gonna be as enjoyable in a sim as it is in real life. Sometimes it seams sim racers just want more and more rather than enjoy what's available.
What you say is true, but looking at it from a differing view point, we consumers are usually hyped for more "realism" due to a Dev coming out and offering better than the competition in their next release. The other side of that is that race car technologies have advanced to the point that real car data is now expected by the masses in race sims, It's a merry-go-round affect, devs offer x, consumers want z, so the dev has to offer EA so he can work on keeping the masses happy by letting them contribute to the dev of said title, which is a mistake imo. We consumers need to avoid EA releases, I can remember a time when EA was unheard of and 90% of games were gold at v1 release, but I doubt it will happen due to consumers wanting everything NOW.

Sad but true!

So looks like I'll be giving the beta branch a go tonight then. MP just won't work for me currently.
Saying that, I'll just add my tuppence, I'm absolutely loving this sim. Thankfully as I knew I would. Kunos have already proven themselves in the past and I don't think they will leave this title unfinished as some people seem to think they might. Nor are they cash grabbed, riding the gravy train of the first title to sell this new one. This new title could well be the GTR2 of this decade. It's running great on my system, obviously with some things turned down and I only have an i7 3770k paired with a GTX1070 running 1080p on am HDTV.
One day I'll upgrade but at the moment I seem to be able to run this title ok with about 19 AI. Why you would need more if you set the AI strength high enough is beyond me.
I had an offline race at Silverstone using the NSX with AI on 95. I was battling with the 6 or 7 cars at the back for the whole race. Had a blast and to be honest, the other cars may as well not have been there.
Must say also that the NSX seems massively underpowered compared to say the Aston or Bentley though. Hope the BoP gets looked at as love driving the NSX so far.

The NSX is not competitive in the real series so won’t be competitive in ACC, this was already brought up on the forums. Apparently the 2019 version that will come with the free expansion is better though

I’ll add my 2c worth in here as well, why not.
The underlying base of ACC is epic, this for me is the important part, the sound work is second to none, the physics are really good and the actual racing experience is fantastic, everything is there that’s needed for it to be great.

It undeniably has bugs, fair few of them, but I’ll take a heap of bugs over fundamental problems any day, the bugs will be fixed, can’t imagine anyone would doubt that given Kunos’s track record of development. So I think just need to be patient, 1.01 is around the corner and from reports of the beta for that has fixed a heap of stuff.

Question is, what are you all going to end up with when the bugs are fixed? I think it’s one pretty solid sim that advances the category in a lot of ways and hopefully continues to be built on and expanded.

And for the record I can’t play it right now due to performance/AA and VR issues, though could at 0.7.2 and loved it then

Strange as it is competitive in the US Blancpain series. Shame it doesn't get the same love in the European series.
They should have a team in the Asian Blancpain, but I didn't see one at the Sepang race when I went in April...

More likely the development cycle has a point built into where cash needs to be injected so a company without unlimited resources can develop a game that sits with consumer expectations.

And when I say consumer expectations I don't mean racedepartment forum members with the butthurt.

After getting no where with getting the FFB working to my liking, I decided to go the whole hog and completely remove ACC and all associated folders last night. I also updated my Logitech drivers and now the FFB seems to be “better”. No idea what actually fixed it, but it seems an improvement over what I was working with. I still prefer AC’s feedback, but I can now at least feel more information through the FFB than before when it just felt utterly dead. I’ve stuck with default FFB values for the moment.

My advice for anyone who thinks the FFB is poor is to do the same as above. I was skeptical it was going to make a difference but to my surprise it did.

  • Deleted ACC from Steam
  • (Checked no folders were left behind, if there was, delete them)
  • Go into User>Documents - delete ACC / AC2 folder
  • Go into User>Appdata>Local - delete ACC / AC2 folder
  • Updated Logitech drivers within Windows Control Panel
  • Then reinstall ACC.

"Moreover, and despite its higher GPU requirements, the game does not look as great as Project CARS 2 or Forza Motorsport 4; two titles that run significantly faster than this latest racing sim."

I don't think it is that simple. In PC2 it is impossible for our car lights to cast shadows on other people for example. So how would we know if our opponents are vampires or not?
On the other hand PC2 forward stuff can have common AA.
Forza Horizon 4 has the power of money for everything.
The CPU bound stuff is serious matter though.

Jimmy's review. I think he's captured the positives and current flaws well and honestly here. Good to see he's back to saying it how it is. In my opinion, he went through a period of sitting on the corporate fence.

I'm more critical of the career mode, it is extremely outdated with some strange design choices. Special Events and single player custom races are a much better experience as the game stands.

He's right about Multiplayer too. No one wants to play a game that penalises players for the mistakes/psychotic driving of others. The truly excellent multi-factor rating system seems wasted at this time.

Finally had the time to try out ACC 1.0.0 and although I personally had no real issues right from early access I am really enjoying the highly detailed FFB through my TS XW, absolutely fantastic. Audio is amazing, especially in the wet going through some puddles and hearing the water splash up underneath, so overall for my set up the Audio is perfectly balanced and I would rate it up there with Raceroom (personal opinion based on my set up)...only small niggle is I personally do not like any HUD when driving and having to press F2 a number of times during a race to remove it is tiresome...can that function be mapped to a button??...must have another look.
All in all I am glad I purchased ACC at early access and do not regret it at all as I just use the Sims I have in their basic form...choose car / track / weather / set AI then Race :D:D
...oh and 'Finally' a Bentley Cockpit where the steering wheel / dash read out and mirrors are aligned fairly good...the only one so far in all the Sims I own...LOLOL...could move up the blue timer box though..hehe

Sounds good my dude. I trust your taste. Havent pulled the trigger as i havent had much time to drive but will prolly pick it up. Been a Little hesitant with the no triples and the need for brutal hardware. From what i read i think my i7-8700K, RTX2700, 3,2ghz 16GB RAM is low end for ACC. :D

MD I'm the same as you, prefer a HUD free driving experience.

C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Config\hud.json

You want this line: "defaultHUDPage": 0,

This'll start you without any HUD, you have to do the F2 thing to get it back.

Your system is better than mine in the CPU dept as I have a i7 3700K, RTX2070 as well and I can have most if not all settings on EPIC and still get a smooth driving experience on my triples 5760x1080...more than happy with that performance and the Graphics are very nice indeed.:D

That "performance review" is really weird. For example, he repeatedly states the game is held back by low frequency memory, but offers no actual proof to his claim whatsoever. Same goes for his claims the game is held back by "using only DX11 API" - how does he know the CPU bottleneck is created by DX11 itself and not by something else?

And there are more issues with the review that could be pointed out - like the fact he seems to think the fact all CPU cores are used while the game is running means "the game appears to be scaling on multiple CPU threads", while his own data seem to suggest otherwise - there's virtually no change in the game's performance as soon as you reach 4 cores/4 threads, going by his own data. But apparently that means the game is (once again) held back by DX11.

I'm not saying his benchmarks are completely useless, it's still data to look at and consider within the context, but his conclusions (and methodology) seem to be kinda strange.
