A: Yes, and any screen resolution recognized by your OS can be set in game.

Q: Will there ever be a physical edition of Assetto Corsa Competizione available on PC?
A: We have put our full effort towards the digital version of Assetto Corsa Competizione; we may consider a retail version in the future, but it’s not planned yet.

Q: Will Assetto Corsa Competizione ever come to console?
A: We are putting all our efforts into the PC Steam version; a console version is surely under evaluation, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

Q: When can players expect the free 2019 update?
A: Our production team is already working on it and the release has been scheduled after Summer 2019.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione offer triple monitor support?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione runs on triple screen setups as a single render scene, that is split over three displays. The game features a special projection correction that reduces the lateral distortion that might affect ultrawide screens and triple monitor setups. (It's called Pannini Projection in honor of the ITALIAN painter who invented it in the 18th century - because Italians do it better). This feature can be set in-game in the "view settings" option. We appreciate that some users are requesting three separate renderings in order to tune bezel values and screen angles. Currently, Unreal Engine 4 doesn't support this feature. We'll continue to investigate to see if in future the triple-separate rendering will be supported in a feasible way.

Q: Will I ever be able to mod Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: Being developed with UE4, Assetto Corsa Competizione processes data and assets through a completely different structure and file format than the previous Assetto Corsa. Therefore, the game will not be compatible with mod contents created for Assetto Corsa.

Q: Which tracks are available in Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: A list of all the official circuits included in the Blancpain GT Series calendar are available at this URL: https://www.blancpain-gt-series.com/calendar. This also includes also Zolder as part of the 2018 Season.

Q: How does multiplayer work in Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione offers three types of Multiplayer action:
In the Public Multiplayer, you can join servers run by the community or official Kunos servers. They offer a vast amount of combinations regarding tracks, conditions and race events similar to the Assetto Corsa 1 universe.

To quickly find servers that suit your preferences and skills, you can either use the Quick Join functionality, or select one of the best matches in the highly personalized server list. To improve your experience, you can edit your preferences, so the suggestions may offer you more night or rain races; or add weight to latency or specific tracks.

While the Public Multiplayer will run casual and quick paced races, advanced users may want to use the Competition Servers. They are offer a competitive experience with very serious settings and hour-long races. The corresponding Competition Rating will track your progress and define the Splits in which you can compete on those servers. The requirements are high, so make sure you get an overview about the Ratings in the Main Menu/Driver/Ratings page.

The third section is the support of private leagues. They run their own race organization and series, which for example allows the use of Driver Swaps and adjusted rules. Additionally, we are looking into possibilities to allow leagues to run more than the 30 cars, and offer them the data output and Race Direction tools they need.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione have anything in place to ensure clean racing online?
A: The most important part in the comprehensive Rating system is the "Safety Rating (SA)" component. Once unlocked, it will track the virtual Trust and Incidents both in Multiplayer and AI races. Public Servers are set up with different SA requirements, offering different levels of protected racing. Additionally, the Competition Servers run very high SA requirements. To enjoy clean racing in Multiplayer, make sure to keep an eye on your Ratings in the Main Menu/Driver/Ratings page and maximize your Safety Rating.

Q: How many players does Assetto Corsa Competizione support?
A: Players can compete against other 30 opponents in single and multiplayer.

Q: What are the minimum system requirements in order to run Assetto Corsa Competizione?
A: The most updated version of minimum and recommended hardware requirements is available at the URL https://store.steampowered.com/app/805550/Assetto_Corsa_Competizione/ in the system requirements section.

Q: What are the recommended system requirements in order to run Assetto Corsa Competizione?

A: The most updated version of minimum and recommended hardware requirements is available at the URL https://store.steampowered.com/app/805550/Assetto_Corsa_Competizione/ in the system requirements section.

Q: Does Assetto Corsa Competizione take advantage of NVIDIA RTX?
A: Currently, Assetto Corsa Competizione does not support ray tracing yet. We continue to work closely with Epic Games and NVIDIA on integration of new technologies to Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Q: What resolutions and FPS will Assetto Corsa Competizione run at?
A: Resolution and number of frames depend by your hardware requirements. Assetto Corsa Competizione can match the same resolution recognized by your Operative system, and you can decide to cap the number of visible frames per second. We haven't set any limit on this.

Q: Where can I find support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Where can I submit bugs?
A: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum
Please use the proper forum sections and in case of bug submission, zip and attach the whole "Logs" folder located in your "C:\users*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved" folder (the "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties). In case of crash report, please always zip and attach the whole "Crashes" folder located in the same directory.

Q: What rating has Assetto Corsa Competizione been given?
A: Assetto Corsa Competizione content is expected to be Assetto Corsa Competizione is accessible to all ages; for instance, the North American ESRB rating is “E” (standing for “Everyone”).

Well, seems like the only way to reduce the horrible input lag is to run fullscreen with vsync off. In that case, it is more or less on par with other sims with vsync on ;) Turning on vsync makes the input lag a lot worse, and running in borderless window makes it even worse and even with vsync off. No other sim has it nearly this bad.

Also seems like the game doesn't like when OBS is running, even if it is not doing anything. I gain close to 10 fps if I close OBS. Again, no other sim does that.

I've even managed to tweak the setup a bit to be a bit more driveable. The kerbs are still absolutely killing me, though. Sometimes you can ride them with no issues, even fairly high ones, and sometimes you just look at one wrong and you're spinning.

Does anyone know how to create a desktop shortcut to launch ACC in no hmd mode?
Just start the game with a -nohmd switch.

Not necessarily: One BRILLIANT thing that they did with ACC (big props to them) was the flexible control assignments: you can assign one button to be a "Shift key" (shift meaning like the keyboard button, not a transmission of a car), so on your wheel with 6 buttons you can have 10 functions (5 buttons with 2 different modes each). Combine that with the extended time function in each mode and you have 20 functions total...from just 6 buttons. This is how a lot of functions are assigned in some flight sims (and in the real aircraft they model) and I'm so glad there's a racing sim that finally does it. I'll give an example from my setup:

I have a 2 way rocker switch on my wheel doing 8 different things:

UP = cycle light stages
Hold UP for 0.5 second = flash lights
DOWN = cycle wiper stages
Hold DOWN for 0.5 second = rain lights

Shift key + UP/DOWN = Traction Control Increase/Decrease
Shift key + hold UP/DOWN for 0.5 second = Engine Map Increase/Decrease

Please note: When doing this, you need to assign the "0.5 second" keys before assigning the instant keys.

Whaaaaaaaaat?!?! You've just blown my mind :geek:

@RasmusP and @Barry Blocker Remember when we were discussing mapping the rocker switch on my TS-PC Racer to multiple functions in the braking thread a few days ago? Here is a solution!

Yea I'm surprised so many people missed this feature...and it's been available since EA release 1!

Hmm I haven't noticed any lag, but then again maybe that's why my driving is so bad lol. Thanks for the shortcut advice, I eventually figured it out.

Spent almost 3 hours straight at Spa trying a few cars and weather conditions. Couple observations:

  • Managed to find some settings that looked decent that kept me at 60 FPS most of the time in Stormy weather, 7pm race time (48x time acceleration), 30 car grid. Thankfully ACC finally allows you to adjust video and control settings while on track...tweaking the graphics to get a solid 60 FPS was pretty easy at that point: Just use the above conditions (starting from the middle of the grid) and, after the green light, make sure you're at a point where you're angled to see far down the road and everyone is kicking up water around you. Pause the game and go adjust your video settings. Raise and lower stuff until you're around 95% GPU usage. It should be able to handle any scenario after that I'd imagine.
  • As for the projection reducing the quality, I just decided to embrace it the fuzzy look and turned sharpness down to 0% (! )...ACC in 1080p already looks very aliased even with TAA at epic, so I just figured the blurriness would mask most of it :D
  • The rain in ACC is, hands down, the best (and consequently the scariest) version I've ever seen in any sim, PCARS 2 doesn't even come close IMO. Going down Eau Rouge behind a pack of cars with puddles everywhere and visibilty at near 0% is quite an experience.
  • Bug: The rear-view camera for the Mclaren 650S is reversed! A car looked like it would pass me on the right and then boom! there he is magically on the left (the side mirror is correct)...I don't know if it's just me but can anyone else verify this?
  • You think it's possible for @kunos to put an option to slide the actual racing seat of the car back and forth? using the distance parameter isn't enough...2 reasons why:
  1. In their current positions, you can't see the far side mirror because the chair is too far forward and blocks the mirror. The NSX, 650S and a couple others have this issue.
  2. I'm quite sure the actual cars have adjustable seats.

Yeah and Mirko couldn't even memorize his lines as you can tell he is reading cue cards :roflmao:

Read the first description after you are introduced to the Super Trofeo. It states in two different ways how you have to be careful with the car, be safe, blah blah blah. It is as if no one even bothered proof reading the text descriptions for career mode.

Ah ok, career mode. First season it’s a sprint season, then an endurance one, you can choose several cars depending on your score.

I'm actually pretty sure you can choose whatever car you want and the score doesn't matter. I got a gold and in comparison to Jimmy Broadbent's stream and his silver we had the exact same selection of cars for the first season.

I did know about the time feature but I didn't know about the shift key:confused:
The time feature isn't great for TC or brake bias since you want them to change instantly, maybe even for a specific turn.
T1 Nürburgring is great with more rear brake bias, monza T1 is great with lower TC.
But with a shift button you can have bb abs TC instantly and abs /engine map slower avalanche:D

Strange. To me, the performance is much better than during the early access.
And my PC is not good for 2019 games.
I have an really old CPU AMD FX8350. 16GB DDR3. GPU AMD RX580 8GB
Windows 10 installed on a Samsung SSD.
With that all is stable, all on High and some options on epic, i have 72fps (i limited them to my max fps monitor freesync refresh rate)
But it is true that there are people with PCs much better than mine, same configuration InGame, and worse FPS.
So yes, strange.

I have the same GPU but my CPU is x5650 and I can't get above 60fps with 26 cars in front of me. CPU usage 45%

Personal thoughts
The 2018 NISMO sounds incredible. Had a lot of fun pounding the brake pedal into turn 1 at Monza, trying to protect my position.

UI is very confusing, especially the car setup menu and I've yet to find a way to remove the HUD info that is in the top right corner (consistency info and more). Offline, it says "waiting for connection". I want to turn this off. Edit: Things can be turned off by modifying the hud.json file in Documents/ACC/Config

Graphics look good but i've found that they are very resource demanding. Medium graphics look trash.

Well I would still certainly like to know more about your HW and performance in ACC, because although I run a higher all core overclock than you (3950 atm), I certainly don't get 90 fps with AI cars around, and not due to the GPU being bottlenecked.
Ryzen 5 2600 OC to 3,7Ghz 1,2V, watercooled with a 240 AIO, Ram run in XMP profile 16gb 3000Mhz (i think), RTX 2070 from KFA² with stcok OC, two SSD : one for windows, the other one for game data.
Nvidia driver only (not the center stuff etc), windows defender stock (efficient and ressourceless).
no motion blur, sharpness to 90%, shadows to mid, and that's all if i remember well.
I can have some drops to 75 fps from the steam fps overlay, and up to 100 fps, most of the time it's like 85-90 fps.

@Mascot Comparable to any other VR experience you have, yep absolutely dead in its current state I'm afraid. i5 9600k and 1080, literally unplayable to even a baseline standard. 2D you'll be fine, VR won't be rewarding regrettably.
Mmm. That's what I figured. Testing a month or so sgo didn't yield good results and now I read that VR performance in the current build is even worse than before.
Very odd decision going with UE4 for a sim racer when VR performance is so poor and triple screens aren't even supported at all.
Think I'll stick with AC, CM, CSP and Sol. It looks and performs superbly.

Thanks for posting this I could not understand what was happening in a couple of MP races last night in the 650S, I'd see the faster car approach, leave plenty of room off the racing line and then see them dive up 'the wrong' side in the mirror and then magically reappear on the other side as they went by. I wondered what the hell they were playing at!!! Luckily no accidents but that was just luck.

Single screen - no worries.

I know AC, but what are these new simulators "CM", "CSP"..."SOL" ?

I'd guess:

CM - Collector of Mods, CSP - Crazy Single Player, SOL - Super Omazing Licks
CM = Content Manager, CSP = Shader patch
SOL = a dynamic weather system

or in other words: a modded way to bring AC to ACC level when it comes to changeable conditions and eye candy...

Playable on my Gtx970 with i5 3750k, 19ai at 45fps.
By playable I mean I can race, its not great by any stretch of the imagination, but I can race therefore totally not unplayable for me.
