Are Alerts broken?

Hi,

I was wondering are Alerts broken?
As some have posted in a post, that I have posted in and no alerts
I did get them, last one was Thursday.

Seem to work for me. You don't get alerts when someone posts in the same thread, I think? Only when being tagged or quoted.

I quoted you there, so you should get an alert now

I'm apparently watching this thread, so I guess one watches every thread they post in automatically?
I have never received alerts in any threads where I haven't been mentioned directly.

EDIT: Ah, it's a specific option you have to tick in the alert preferences. Okay, got it now

Glitch was not related to the alerts That wasn't broken as I haven't changed it.

It seems alerts stopped working for me yesterday

Weird, they worked just fine yesterday, but today it seems broken for me.

What do you guys mean with broken? An alert bubble only shows when you land on a page, if you dont open them the red bubble will go away eventually but the alert messages are still active.

Works fine for me. What kind of alerts are you missing? Tags, people quoting your post or new posts in "watched" threads? Maybe check your settings and try to unwatch and then re-activate the watch thread function.

I am not missing any now, it started working Monday.
I was missing replies to post alerts, not sure about others.

Well, when on the forums i used to have a box on the top right of the page, with my avatar and alerts and so on. That box has gone now. It was very useful, i miss it
