Any interest in American races?

Hi everyone, I'm just getting started in Automobilista and the online racing scene. I'm sitting in the U.S., and it looks like there aren't any America-friendly events (I missed out on the RD GP, and probably wouldn't have qualified anyway). Is there just a general lack of interest, or what? I'd like to race, and it's unfortunate that work and sleep take priority over that.
