OLD SKOOL RULES
As many know, recently I was attacked and insulted by some guy due my AMS mods.

Everything is overcome but I would like to express a few points.

1. Because of it I received a lot of messages of support and I'm really grateful for this. It's a great example of the great value of this community.

2. I think this is totally obvious, but I'll say it again, all of we support developers (Reiza in this case). We buy and even mod their products in order to try to extend the capabilities and the life of their sims, but without the original work of the developers nothing would be possible. I think it's really clear, but still there are people that think modding is a lack of respect to the work of others. That's ridiculous. AMS is a terrific hardcore sim, and we mod because we want more and more of it, this is it.

3. In case you would be attacked due your mods, I highly recommend you don't start an useless fight on the forums. Race Department widely support all modding activity if you have good intentions and try to do things the right way. If you make a mistake they will help to find the best way to solve any problem.

4. I'll re-release all my mods, now based on AMS vanilla physics but with specific changes via _upgrades. All in all it's a good news, because all will have a different flavour, and new things are always welcome.

Show must go on...

Cheers,

^^This is very good advice. There's no need to get involved in an argument or flame war with another user. Just bring it to the attention of RD staff and we'll work with you to resolve the issue.

UPDATE

@Bram Hengeveld , I received another message from SIM FAN, sorry but I'm out. I was totally agreed with you when you suggested to re-release the mods based on vanilla physics but I'll have to include some files and assets from AMS and I'm sure we will have problems again. I'll send you a PM with all the links to delete what's left in the download section.

So sorry to all and my sincere apologies to Reiza for any inconvenience. I'll continue supporting their great products on the forums, but not more modding.

Cheers,

Why’s SIM FAN giving everyone mad faces for lol

I have no idea but this screenshot is really funnyyyy

And another modder leaves the community. Great news for AMS. I hope the person responsible is really happy with themselves, but they should probably change their forum name. They're clearly not a fan of sims.
That's right but it doesn't matter, @DerekTh has experience on GTR2 modding and he will check and work on all the scripts. Also he has good ideas to improve the whole project and there are others who want to help.

Relax guys, this not worth it. this is very old stuff, all of this is out there, ron123 from trackaholics ported all to gtr2 long time ago and I saw parts of it in several other mods. If you look into any mod of any game you will find that most psrts were shared and reshared. Modders just tweak what they understand, the rest is always copy/paste.
So all agree to cooperate, simfan asked to delete it and all agreed to do it very fast . he confirmed there is nothing personal and if all original values are changed there will be no more problems ;)

Ok, I'm not sure there's much value left to this thread so I'll lock it before it has a chance to go downhill. Thanks to those who managed to express their opinions on a controversial subject without resorting to flames.
