Advise on triple monitor(s) for racing and office

Hello together,

Currently I am racing on a single 27" 1440p Monitor (mainly ACC) - I use a wooden rig with T300RS, but the monitor stands on my desk.

Now I want an upgrade for a better Fov and immersion.

My PC specs are : Ryzen 5 5600
16 GB DDR4
RX 6750 XT

Because I would like to use the new monitors for office use as well, I was thinking about triple monitors.

Probably 3x 1440 would be quite on the limit for my GPU right?

Would it make sense to get 2 1080p Monitors? Or not the best idea for office use?

Happy to get some ideas/advice

Thanks!

You could probably get away with it. You can try simulating a higher load by playing with the Virtual Super Resolution in the Adrenalin software (note: this is not the same thing as Radeon Super Resolution). Click the Gear Icon, and then select Display.

Inside the game, you should now be able to crank the resolution up to something much higher than what your single monitor is capable of. NOTE: Depending on the game, you may need to select FULL SCREEN before you can change the resolution to something other than native.

On the PC I'm typing on, I only have a single 1440p screen. But with Virtual Super Resolution, Automobilista 2 now allows me to apply a triple screen load on the GPU. EDIT - I just noticed that this is much higher than the triple screen resolution, but you get the point. ;)
3840 x 2180 would = 4K, which is a bit less than triple screen, but close enough to give you an idea.

  • Don't mix 1080 with 1440
  • Use Displayport for all three monitors, don't mix with HDMI
  • Get two exact same monitors as the 1440p/27" you have. No other brands/series/types. This prevents color differences.
Did a compare between your RX 6750 XT and my RTX 2080ti. With which I run triple 1440p. I manage 60-100 FPS on high settings, depending on the game.
Overall your card seems to have a few % less power than mine, but they're not miles apart. I think by adjusting some ingame graphics settings (especially shadows and lighting) you should be able to achieve 60-100 FPS. Of course depending on which game you run. Expect to be on the 60-70 FPS side when doing an offline race. Expect 75+ when practicing alone on track.
